2025 Rally in Maine

T-Gerken, the maine pickle man (it may take a while for "some" people to get that joke)...
My Boss Monkey and I could be interested in a Lobstah dinner, or a Lobster dinner ride.
If I may make another suggestion....and that is to have one the the many Food Trucks that are now On The Scene, but specifically find a Food Truck that specializes in the ubiquitous Lobstah Roll.....and have that On Site at the Fairgrounds, so that Rally participants that are AT the Fairgrounds can partake of the infamous Lobstah Roll.
Might be some technical issues with bringing in an outside vendor Food Truck, whereas the Fairgrounds might have their own food vendors, and that is something you can look into.
Caution: The ubiquitous and infamous Lobster Roll, or known locally as the Lobstah Roll, is not an inexpensive snack. Due to the fluctuating prices of "Lobstah", these Lobstah Rolls can cost more than ordering a complete Happy Meal at Micky D's.
BTW # 1: I was born in Limestone, Maine, so I am allowed to talk with an accent that people from Alabama can not understand.
BTW# 2: Given the popularity of the Comfort Inn, in Brunswick, Maine, and the shear numbers of sidecar rigs that shall be populating that hotel, we might just have to....might I say....have our own Donut Food Truck and Ice Cream Food Truck make visits to our parking lot...daily.

Exploring the World in Comfort

Traveling half way across the country, to the "Land of Lobster", seems kind of mandatory to eat some.
I'm in!
Hold my keyboard and watch this! 🙃

@miles-ladue We've never met in person but I do recall either a phone or email conversation wherein we discussed your Maine roots. Working to see what we can put together. Cook's Lobster House in Harpswell has a food truck and a tap truck and may have the capability for an onsite lobstah bake. I'm planning to meet with them this coming week to explore the options and the costs. No issue with bringing local vendors into our event. Also remember seeing a Donut Kiosk at the Holy Donut prior to their opening so I intend to inquire about that opportunity as well. Then there"s Mr. Tuna the sushi food truck or a Poutine truck as well though with it being a typically Canadian delicacy a tariff may need to be applied.

@tomjgerken John and I would definitely partake of the lobster dinner. Thanks for plannning!

Should I post the request for RSVP to the AdvRider 2025 Rally Thread to get a sense of the Inmate's willingness to participate?
Illegitemi non carborundum est!

@thane-lewis Let me get back to you on that a bit later today. I'm meeting with the owner of Cook's Lobster House later this morning to determine what options they have available and to see if we can get any cost estimates. I know they have a food truck and a tap truck www.taptruck207.com but also want to explore the catering possibilities and try to get a sense of potential cost for an onsite lobster dinner.
When we go to Maine, the only thing I eat is lobstah, so yes, please put us down for any excursion that includes such delicacies.

We’re in for lobster in any form and more than once.
Go Birds

I found out last night that the Rally location is in the center of one of the highest per capita Ice Cream Shop locations in the nation. How cool would it be to have an Ice Cream Shop scavenger hunt or bingo card?!?
and just because I can't be on site, doesn't mean I can't add to the party!

Just checking on tent camping. Are reservations necessary? I haven't decided if my slightly used body is up to a 1300 one way ride or not yet, but if I trailer, I have a RTT combination on top of my trailer so would like to be able to park near the other campers or tent ares. 12' aluminum trailer.
Should have included, riding up from St Lois MO.

@walter-eschmann No reservations required for tent camping unless you need to have electricity. Not sure if you would need to pay for an rv site or not if using the trailer. Best to call Tommy Rhoades with the Topsham fair who is in charge of camping reservations. You can reach him at 207-241-0404 after 3:30 p.m. Eastern. Not a bad ride here from St. Louis and lots to see along the way. Not sure how slightly used the body is, but I'm 72. My wife and I flew to Colorado Springs to pick up a new to us rig about rally time last year and rode back to Maine, a bit more of a trek than St. Louis. Eithe way, we hope to see you here!
@tomjgerken I love lobstah! My wife is allergic so only when I travel solo can I enjoy it. Oddly while my service dog, Glenlivet, eats just about anything he is not a fan of crustaceans.
Count me in
