My journey with adding Gen 3 Dream Hannigan sidecar to my Goldwing

Ha well spotted Miles
Of course it would be the left hand mirror.........
I am a bit confused. Since when does a 2 wheeled motorcycle, let alone a Honda Goldwing, have a "passenger" side mirror ?
On a motorcycle, which mirror is considered the "passenger" side mirror ?????????????
I thought describing the right hand mirror (while sitting on the bike) would be easiest to describe as the passenger side - guess not...

A couple of jokers. Messin with you. Why did I say left?
I would think it would be the right side being in the USA. Call it whatever you want.
It's like do you drive a motorcycle or ride a motorcycle.

Posted by: @miles-ladueApparently, removing the bike from the crate a bit of damage to the passenger side mirror of the bike ensued.Posted by: @bannerguyI am a bit confused. Since when does a 2 wheeled motorcycle, let alone a Honda Goldwing, have a "passenger" side mirror ?

Went out to Google to get the real AI answer on this. While searching on this critically important question, I found something pretty cool.
I'm going to get one, so I can watch the shear panic on my passenger's face while out for a Sunday jaunt. 😎
Hold my keyboard and watch this! 🙃

Looks a great helmet. Wonder if it makes it down under?

This is a takeover, or distraction, from the original subject of this thread, which is Mike Banner building his sidecar rig...HOWEVER...I feel compelled to add one post regarding these so-called "intelligent" helmets.
Years ago I was one of the test riders for new HUD helmets...heads up display....and 8 out of 10 test riders that did a thorough testing, and testing whilst riding a motorcycle, or the new HUD helmets all agreed that they should NOT be put into production. If you do a quick search on the invention of HUD helmets for motorcycle rider use, you will find this is not a new idea, but has never caught on, and sales of those available have been weak.
Here is the answer as to why: Experienced riders will tell you that there is enough going on during a ride that they don';t need to be distracted by having images, numbers, pictures, stats posted on the inside of their faceshield. To distract a rider is to make motorcycle riding even more risky. An experienced rider will tell you to LEARN to ride...first....and learn to avoid hazards, learn to be prepared for the idiots on the road, learn to use your TWO mirrors, learn to be aware, learn through experience of what to wear, and what not to wear.
But by putting a digital display up immediately in front of your face, telling you things that are less important than saving your life through practical experience, is asking that the rider be distracted, therefore taking their attention away from life saving practices.
This newest helmet, posted above, gives the rider a rear-view picture of what is going on behind them, and if they have a passenger on the rear seat of the bike, the face of that passenger is foremost in that picture. This is a DISTRACTION, and should not be in the faceshield of the rider.
Use your TWO mirrors to see behind you.
Think of today's current situation where people are walking around with their face planted into the screen of their so-called smart phones, and not paying attention to their immediate surroundings. They are walking into light poles, walking into other people, ignorant of their immediate surroundings, their mind is buried into a 3' x 6' screen, and they have no idea of what is happening around them, outside of that 3' x 6" screen.
I am 100+% against any HUD helmets.
