While I don't have a Goldwing sidecar rig, I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express at least once this year. lol
Just a note: If you still love two wheels, it might be worth considering having some type of two wheeler in your stable. There are times when leaning through the turns (or in my case, serious off-road) that three wheels doesn't satisfy.
Certainly you can go three wheels, and add a two wheeler in later. This is more a PSA to keep a bit of room in the garage open. 😎
Looks like you have three really great ways to go. Good luck whichever way the coin lands. 🍻
Oh, and definitely hope you'll post up what you do, and the why's. 👍

Not intended as a hijack, but tagging onto Scott's comment above.
I stopped at the western of our TWO Dollar General stores yesterday (town of less than 4000 has two DGs ). As I was pulling away from the curb on my 02 DL1000 Strom, I see that the woman entering the driveway has her eyes somewhere completely other than the driveway and other users of said driveway. I exercised due caution and came to an awkward stop. The stop ended with the bike on it's right side as I stepped off on the way down. Sadly, the RH brake lever ball end was broken off in the process. She had come to a stop as she watched the slo-mo dump. I did the "point at my eyes then moved the fingers toward her" move to say she needed to be better aware of her surroundings.
New brake lever coming next week.
I LIKE having options. Three wheels is great, two wheels is great. Four wheels is frequently necessary. Options.

I am forced to concur with the Ogre from Broken Bow. I missed having a 2 wheeled motorcycle in my stable, despite having 3 Goldwing 1800s with sidecars at that moment, so I found a bike similar to what I used to own, a Honda CTX700 w/DCT transmission, and now I can do the twisties whilst avoiding any Dollar General stores, because bad things happen in those parking lots.
We all make personal decisions, so....'twer it me....I would leave the 2023 Goldwing w/DCT transmission alone, keep it as your two wheel motorcycle, and I would buy the 2003 Goldwing w/Hannigan Bandit sidecar. IMO, that's the rig that you will need to put less money into, after purchase, but will get more use out of, given your needs.

As usual, lots of quality info from the high altitude simian.
Golden H stuff.
My current 2 wheel fix is a 30 yr old 250 Honda scooter I wouldn't have been seen dead on as a youngen.
I get a cackle out of grinding the sidestand lever in left handers occasionally.
Full auto as well Miles.
Perfect for popping to the local shop.

There's no hooligan like an old hooligan?
And I am VERY MUCH speaking to myself!

Oh, Bruce, two of the funnest bikes my wife and I have had, were a couple of 2005 Honda Helix 250 scooters. They are a blast to ride, and essentially the grandkids of your Honda 250 scooter.
Quick, but funny story, but....please pay attention to the details:
In 2007 I bought a used 2005 Honda Helix 250 scooter for my wife. It was at a dealer 60 miles north of me.
7 years later, in 2014, I decided that I wanted one too, so I found a 2005 Honda Helix 250 scooter for sale by a private seller, 30 miles south of me.
Back at home, doing paperwork on the newly purchased Honda Helix....and discovered that our two.....2005 Honda Helix 250 scooters had sequential VIN numbers.
My wife's ended in 557, and mine ended in 558. Back in those days, Honda would ship 2 scooters like these on the same shipping palette.
These two 2005 Honda Helix 250 scooters came to the same dealership together, got sold to different buyers in 2005, and then in 2014 they are back together, in our garage.

De. Tails. Things that follow?
Sorry the price of attention is high these days..
What with inflation and all.
But yes the Honda is a little patch of serenity floating along the back streets on its overworked pogoshocks.
It's funny to hear you all speak of scooters. I had a 650 Burgman with a Texas sidecar that I loved for around town (and the dogs/grandkids loved it too!). That rig actually got stolen (remember, I live in Borneo, oops - I mean Baltimore!) by undoubtedly some young dope - who steals a scooter/sidecar rig?!?! We found the rig less than a mile from the house but it had been totaled - no doubt someone who thought it would ride like a bike! So now I'm in the market again...

Generally speaking, motorcycles will get stolen more frequently than hacks. Sad that yours got kablooied. There's a 650 Burgman/Texas rig that's bounced around the members here a few times.

Posted by: @thane-lewisAs for adding a car to your current F6B, you can pay roughly the same dollars to buy a built rig - if it isn't to your liking, sell it along with no loss of investment.
Oh, for "Thane's sake"....there are some boo boo's that I cannot let pass.
Sir Thane, the OP, Mike @bannerguy, does not own an F6B. He owns a 2023 Goldwing w/DCT trans, but one of the two sidecar rigs he is looking at possibly buying is a 2013 Honda F6B with a Hannigan Classic sidecar.
AND....you hooligan Ogre from Broken Bow, that Burgman 650 w/sidecar you referred to is NOT a Texas sidecar....it was a Hannigan Classic. Having owned this rig myself, in fact I was the guy that flew 2,500 miles to collect the sidecar, then drove 2,500 miles to bring it back to my ranch...I am can tell you for 100% certainty that it is NOT a TSC sidecar.
But....Mike @bannerguy...YES, the Suzy Burgman 650 is one heck of a great scooter/motorcycle, and is excellent as a tug with the correct sized sidecar attached to it. To be frank, I believe that the one I put together, that was subsequently owned by 3 others here...is still currently for sale in Nor Calif.
It is a good rig, but smaller than the Goldwings you are looking art currently.
Finally...Thane @thane-lewis....MAN/Ogre you have got to pay closer attention to what is being posted here. I am going to call Karen today, and suggest she reduce your prescription of (******), as it is making your mind loopy.

I had never heard of a Burgman Scooter until joining up with this group of crazy biker dudes. 😉 What an awesome setup that is. Sorry yours was totaled. For a place like Borneo (aka Baltimore) it must have been an epic rig.
Any further thoughts on what way you are leaning? Over the past year of membership I've noticed rigs seem to move around between members here often. At first I thought it was more of a "friendship" type situation, but over the year I've learned this community is pretty open to advice, recommendations and suggestions and so their rigs are very well sorted.
Personally I'm just waiting for Dane @ben-franklin to get all the modifications & upgrades finished on Black Betty so I can swoop in and take advantage of the situation. Because that's what friends are for

Miles - that's the sidecar that got me interested in putting together my Burgman rig! If it is for sale currently, can you provide a link?
Mike
Miles - I see two listings on facebook marketplace for a 2015 Burgman with Hannigan sidecar - one listing is in Folsom, CA and the other is in Rancho Cordova. This looks like the same bike. Is this the one that you put together? Thoughts on the rig now?

Oh, Miles. Have you not yet uncovered my cunning plan? My bits of confabulated mis-remembering give you purpose and practice to keep the oral history of all things pristine and true for future generations!
