@bobh yep you will get people randomly talking about your choice in wheels.

Posted by: @bobhThank you for the warm welcome gentlemen.
@scott-h - yes I'm into lotsa stuff, Astrophotography included. The pic in the avatar is one I took.. over 5 nights. At some point I'm sure we'll have a discussion on Astro..
And yes I guess the whole plan for three wheels started when she mentioned that perhaps we should get a trike. Another discussion. But it all worked out for the best!
I'm really looking forward to this new adventure. I like making new friends and I've been told that a sidecar will introduce an x factor into people approaching the rig wanting to talk. True?Β

Right On! Well definitely eyes will be on you where ever you stop on the rig.Β Always a fun conversation, sometimes with surprisingly great stories. Β
I like the sidecar over a trike because it only has two tire tracks, so easier to straddle potholes, etc..Β But most importantly it can carry the worlds most precious cargo.Β A hunting dog, a shotgun and Ruffed Grouse ready for the oven.Β 'Tis the season! 😎Β
I'm just getting back into astronomy after about a 7 year layoff.Β First foray was mostly visual with the occasional DSLR afocal snapshot for posterity.Β Solar has definitely grabbed my interest.Β So far the best I've done there is a DSLR picture of what looks like an LED bulb against a black background, with some "sun smudges" (akin to sunspots, only much worse focus 🤣 )
Will look forward to checking out pics of your rig (sidecar, and AP).Β Hopefully meet up at the National Rally this summer in the great state of Maine. 👍 Β

Hello, I'm Stephen, in Maryland.
I've had a small 150cc SYM Honda clone solo bike since college days, but always wanted a sidecar rig. I finally got married to my now wife this year, and noted that the only thing I wanted for the wedding was to ride off into the sunset on a hack. So I went and bought the obvious, logical upgrade, since my 150cc SYM wasn't going to cut it... A 350cc RE Classic obviously XD
Put it together with a Cozy Euro and have been using it for commuting on good days since too. Unfortunately, despite her being the road-rage driver of us, can't convince the wife to ride along very often. Then again, being just barely highway speed capable might have something to do with that too...Β

Sure, once I figure out how pictures work, I'll see what can be done about that!
Weather's been real rainy the past weeks though, even though the temperatures have been real warm for the time of year. I see in your signature you have a Interceptor 650 I assume? How'd you like it?
Debated going for an INT or GT for the mule, but I just couldn't get past the look of the Classic in the end.

Ok, lets see if this works out.
From in the shed. Ended up taking off the tall windscreen since it notably slowed me down at top speed haha. I ended up changing out the rear sprocket for one with 2 more teeth, has helped with start and maintaining speed much better.
These last two are from the wedding photographer, much better work than my phone camera for sure.

Lovely little rig.
Be great on side roads etc.
There's a couple of smaller Enfield rigs around my area that I see from time to time.
Chairs on the correct side though as Miles is getting to under stand now.

But remember that Miles will be on the continent a fair bit in addition to GB. Β

Hello all. Just joined the forum and USCA this week. I bought a used Kawasaki with a Hannigan HP sidecar back in July and my wife and I really enjoyed riding it through late summer and autumn. Sadly, here in New England the weather has turned to winter and we have put the bikes in the back of the garage until the better riding weather returns. Can't come soon enough!

@scott-h A friend of mine sent me information about the rally from Adv rider website, which was what prompted me to explore the usca site and forum.
My wife and I will be putting the rally on our calendar and plan on attending. We will probably stay in a hotel nearby, as tent camping does not have any appeal for her.
Yo Sidecar guys, I'm J Timothy Finn, S.F.& Sonoma Ca. Resident, Been tinkering around with a 65 A65 BSA rig project. Genuinely don't know what I'm doing.(my hallmark) I ride a BMW RT and have some vintage trials bikes for the farm + a scooter for the city. I'd love some help with my project. It's pretty wacky so far! I will post pics when I'm cleared to be around other humans. JTF
