Posted by: @cmasteveNew here but have owned a sidecar for over 5 years. Bought it new - but NEVER mounted it. Sold the bike. It is a Northwest sidecar Cargo car made in Boise. Joining to find out more info on cars made by Northwest Sidecars in Idaho and Washington. I think they mainly sold Velorex and mounted cars to bikes for people. Any pictures of other sidecars that they made?? Thanks
Steve, WELCOME to the greatest show on Earth.
I have seen a couple of Northwest Sidecars listed in for sale ads in just the past year. I will now begin the search for more information.
Tell us about Steve Schiller. Where do you live, what bike are you planning to attach this sidecar to, etc...?

Thanks for the welcome. We live in the Pacific Northwest - near Tenino Washington. Currently have 4 bikes - 2 modern - 2 vintage plus the never mounted cargo sidecar. Triumph Tiger 800, KTM 390 adventure and 2 HD Aermacchi 350 scouts.
Currently intending to downsize the heard but time will tell. Was wanting to sell the sidecar and may still since the intended mount and purpose is long gone.

I'm going to say it on Miles' behalf: "Well roll me in the mud and call me a guinea pig!!!" You had him at Tenino. Y'all must be neighbors!

Steve, as my friend and buddy Thane has pointed out, we may be neighbors. I live just outside Tenino, up on Churchill Rd SE, about 2 miles from my ranch to the very center of Tenino.
I am in Germany right this minute, having shipped one of my Sidecar rigs to Germany. I will be back in Tenino on Wednesday afternoon.

And Thane, no matter how many times I tell you, you still don't have it right.

Well - Neighbor - Been on Churchill rd many times as long time friends lived near what was the end of that road. I am north of there near Offutt Lake. Been hear for over 45 years. That would be almost 5 miles straight north of you. Except for a couple of gates, could even ride between the two locations.
Steve

That definitely gives a whole new meaning to "going hog wild." 😮Posted by: @miles-laduePosted by: @thane-lewisI'm going to say it on Miles' behalf: "Well roll me in the mud and call me a guinea pig!!!" You had him at Tenino. Y'all must be neighbors!

Hi all,
I've been a reader here for a little, while but just now registering for a forum account.
After decades on motorcycles and scooters, I started in sidecars a few years ago with a Ural Retro rig that swept me off my feet... most fun on wheels ever! My wife/daughter/dog and I used up our 15 seconds of fame by making the "calendar centerfold" page of the March/April 2024 issue of Sidecarist magazine on that rig, to our delight.
A couple years ago I added a bright orange BMW K100 / EML GT2 rig, which was an education in how well a performance sidecar rig can handle. Would post a picture of it but am on probationary forum status as a newbie.
This weekend I'm adding a project to the garage: a 1984 BMW R100 and Dnepr chair that was at one point nicely set up with an EML leading link and nice custom subframe... it's been through several hands and the most recent owner took it all apart and got overwhelmed with electric problems, so it's in pieces. Planning to put it all back together, and as a winter project hope to make a new tub body on the existing running gear. (I do aluminum forming and fabrication as a hobby). Will start a forum thread on that when I get going with it.
Meanwhile the K100/EML will go into the "rigs for sale" section soon to free up space in the garage.
Anyway, a longwinded introduction but glad to be here!
