Rally Dates are June 14-16, 2018 [Father's Day is June 17]
Rally will be held at the Little Farm on the River RV Park near Rising Sun, IN. Site is on the Ohio River about 30 miles down-river from Cincinnati OH.

For non-campers, there are at least a few choices in Rising Sun: Anderson's Riviera Inn has 5 rooms; The Empire House has 5 rooms and a 2-bedroom Suite; Tuggles Folly has a 2 rooms with bath and 2 rooms with shared bath; and the Rising Star Casino has 294 rooms. There are 2 sets of rooms at the Casino: One set in the Casino itself, and another set in "The Lodge" across the parking lot from the Casino.
I don't know if any of the above are taking reservations yet.

hello , Rich here ..the new Florida rep.(what have I gotten myself into)...I will be planning a ride to the 2018 rally .. my goal is to get at least 10 fellow Floridians to ride with me (pay attention Florida)..

Although there is no information in this thread, yet, I've heard a rumor that the club has arranged for a block of rooms at a reduced rate to be held for us at the casino lodge. Maybe the Rally Master or one of the Club officers can confirm this and post the necessary information - like room rate, how to get the special room rate, the phone number to call, how long the rooms will be held, etc.
Also, whoever is in charge of the website needs to fix the website header link to the national rally - if you click on it now it takes you to the 2017 Rally

YUP! I just took a look at the link on the website and it took me to the registration for the 2017 Rally. I will check with Mikel, Belinda and Steve Woodward or Al Olme to see if we can get that changed. My print copy of the Sidecarist arrived today and Joan asked about the online registration (after she got done raving about the quality of our magazine). Has anyone tried to register for the motel at Rising Sun? It seems I read something about the folks at the Casio were ready for us to register yet.
I have already had people contact me about registering at the casino. Originally I was told reservations could be made with our code starting mid October, but when people were having trouble I checked again and was told the second week of December. I will keep checking with the casino to make sure this gets done.
As far as the website ... I do not know how to make that happen. Can someone help with that?

For Rising Star Casino Lodge Reservations call 800-472-6311 or 812-438-1234. Use code USCA Rally starting the second week of December.
Room Rates are:
Thursday, June 14, 2018 $69
Friday, June 15, 2018 $99
Saturday, June 16, 2018 $99
These rates are based on the room not number of people. On the web there is a "Get AWAY Package" that looks good, but it is based on a per person per room rate.
If you reserve with the Lodge a $10 Free Slot Play will be provided to anyone that is 21 years of age or older, who provides the required information at the time of Hotel Reservation to create a Rewards Club account, which includes name, address, date of birth and phone number. The Rewards Club card will have the $10 Free Slot Play loaded onto it, and the Rewards Card will be available at the hotel check-in. If interested request the card at the time of placing your reservation.

Just checked the National Rally link on the USCA Homepage - it Works now. YEAH!!!
Checked all the links on the National Rally page - they work too - Yeah! - with one exception: In the upper right corner of this page - http://www.sidecar.com/rally.asp - is a link "rally lodging" purportedly taking one to lodging information. It does , but for the Coeur d'Alene Rally. IIRC that was bout 5 or 6 years ago. Maybe someone can update [or remove] that link.
One more suggestion: How about putting a Rally notice in the BMW MOA News - and the Club mags for other marques. I'll write and submit to MOA unless someone directs me otherwise [the UNODIR principle].
