Rte 92 is one of Colorado's great roads. US 50 in the canyon is nice too, though generally heavily trafficked in summer.
Thanks Bob

dholaday,
You may want to consider taking Hwy133 to Hwy82 to Glenwood Springs then I70 for only forty miles, seventeen of which is through Glenwood Canyon and about as scenic as an interstate can get. Then take Hwy 131 at Wolcott to Hwy 134 to Hwy 40 up to Hwy 14 through Walden on Hwy 125 to Hwy 127 to Laramie Wy. where you can pick up I80. Glenwood Springs would be the largest city you would have to go through on this route. All the roads from Wolcott on are very scenic and much more fun that anything on the front range. It would be much cooler also.

Getting there...
Glad to see Drone and Kirby made it. Petey and I had a monkey wrench thrown into our plans yesterday. Just outside Kellogg Idaho, I began to smell oil. Then my bike began to smoke like crazy and I limped into Kellogg putting out a major smoke screen. Called my son and waited the hours it took for him to get out to my place and get my trailer. He and my grandson came to Kellogg and rescued me. Stopped at Vintage V-Twin for Bill to look. Right now, it seems to be coming from the crank position sensor so not as bad as it appeared but still the bike is down and the trip is off. Made an appointment to get the bike in on the 12th. Here's hoping you all have a great rally!!
Well, bad luck and trouble strike again. I loaded the rig yesterday and rode it 150 miles to check everything out. Everything was fine. This morning, not so much. It wouldn't start. I think it's an omen. Jim
I won't be at the rally. Bike trouble has me back home after only 130 miles. Next year, maybe.
Jim
Jim,
'Sorry to hear about your problem. The crowd is gathering here and the weather is warm but dry. The area is beautiful. Get ready for Corning next year.
