Where Have You Gone With Your Sidecar Rig ???

Today was just a 10 mile jaunt up to school for what is called “business night”. Considering that the last time I was farther than in town, I was having a pretty serious health emergency, it went really well and there were no issues or flashback moments. Next ride longer that 20 minutes will be a memorial service for a friend’s mother at the end of August.

Today I took the rig to dental appointment before heading to school. Then I took about 1.5 miles of gravel road to avoid the 30 minute construction area. Unfortunately, the rig made a LOT of objections to going along the gravel. Between the washboard and soft surface, keeping any speed was a challenge. Guess i'll be back in the car until construction is done which they predict to be November.

Around the block for the first quick test ride before more showers come in.
Hold my keyboard and watch this! 🙃

@scott-h Looks like it could be a wet few days for y'all in the southwest. Danged hurricane remnants!

If you think it's bad on a gravel road with a sidecar you should try riding on one with a solo motorcycle
All the roads around where I live are gravel, I can safely say that if you stick with it you will soon get used to it.

Took the rig on it's first Long trip in quite some time. I had an event to go to in Pelham Al. about 20 miles south of B-Ham Al. I loaded up the bunkhouse and the sidecar and off I went. This was a solo trip as our new pup Sarge is still in training. It was a wonderful 425 mile ride, or at least once I got off I-16 it was a wonderful ride. I just don't like riding on the super slabs anymore. stayed in Pelham for 3 days riding Muni in the southern trails of Oak Mountain Park. I was supposed to stay until Sunday but it was calling for some bad rain and I didn't want to deal with breaking down camp in the rain. It felt so good to just be out there riding some distance again.
