What is this?
I am new to the sidecars and recently acquired a side car that was bought recently out of North Carolina. The sidecar was made in Pakistan from what I understand. There are a number of them on eBay (Rocket? Rocketeer?) but I cannot find any manufacturer or find anybody who currently owns one so I can get feedback. I would post a pic but I dont have the ability.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Welcome Fred
one more post and you can post pictures, Sadly I have to inform you that the sidecar you are asking about (Rocketeer) is not of a quality that you would want to install it on anything any bigger than a scooter and even with that you would want to modify the mounting hardware. They have been sold under false presences that it will fit any bike. There is a thread here somewhere that covers these cheap sidecars Rocketteer sidecars – Sidecar Tubs Wanted – USCA Forums

Ace, this Fred is from Central New York, somewhere between Syracuse and Albany.
That helps, but more importantly, as Ace asked...what brand/model of motorcycle are you planning to attach this Pakastani Rocketeer sidecar to ?

Exploring the World in Comfort

This could be a pretty fun project for one of the newer sub 500cc scramblers, like the Triumph Speed 400, or the Royal Enfield 400/450 Himalayan. Give it that mid-20th century explorer look. In an easy to handle & maintain package. Along these lines:

Fred, sorry that your intro to sidecars is a Rocketeer. Life lesson. Chalk it up to experience. If you are really interested in trying a sidecar, pay attention to the Classifieds on this forum to see if something comes up in your area. Decent "starter" rigs tend to come on the market every now and then for under $5000. Also, bear in mind that sidecar rigs are not motorcycles. So when I say "in your area" I'm talking about within oh, say, 750 miles (two day drive).
