Hmm May 21 today.
Oh dark thirty.
The buses are running though already.
Willie has been AWOL a bit lately.
Will follow up.
Apparently there was a notice in the mailbox.
My neighbour said this morning there was guy at my mailbox late in the day. (After dark).
Anyways I mooched around all morning. Changing the wife's car tire. Give myself a haircut, looked on market place far too long.
You know the usual nonsense.
Then went to the post-office to get my parcel.
Which just happens to be next to the local bakery. 🤔
Had to get rid of the evidence before she got home...
The loaf makes it look legitimate...
Fooling noone.
Hey, I recognize that package, hiding under the baked goods.
Happy it made it all the way around to the upside-down part of the globe.

Once again.
Thank you kind sir.
Your a gentleman and a scholar.
Coffee with the vintage bike guys is at Pengo's (penguin) Cafe close by.
They ride interesting bikes usually and sometimes a sidecar.
A new Indian looked excellent I thought.
Make a great tug.
Owner was complaining about how quiet the exhaust was...
Not sure a motor needs to be heard starting up from a mile away.
Went home to sort my garage a bit.
Looking after a mates rolling machine.
Weighs 406 kg .
A challenge to move solo.
It's only got flatbar/angle iron rollers.
What can I roll?
Ok so young Dennis has been onto me about the sprocket for his 1927 Royal Enfield 1000cc Vtwin.
It's a cast steel unit and we have a new sprocket.
Just have to move the teeth from the new to the old.
1st centre the old onto an old bit of a pipe fitting.
And make a widget to hold the centres inline together
I get the basics.
Machine off the old teeth back to the spokes or thereabouts.
That's easy enough
Then machine out the new to fit onto the old.
Not sure what cutters to use on that yet.
What I will do is weld the two together once I've trued them.
What could go wrong?
Oh Yeah! Nothing like a good custom fabrication job to get the juices flowing. 😎
Hold my keyboard and watch this! 🙃
After 99 years the old is a little wobbly.
Decided to do them separately.
Big storm tonight so batten the hatches.
Dennis has another ther find.
A tank for an early Levis 250cc two stroke.
He had an engine and a frame. Though not necessarily from the same year but possibly close enough.
Somewhere mid late teens up to about 1919 or so.
The engine has an oil pump... not bad for an early 2 stroke.
Bit stormy here today.
And now sitting in the dark with power out.
Winds have been around 60kph with 80kph gusts.
Mild really compared to other places.
The beach is getting its annual makeover.
Was on the lathe doing the royal Enfield sprocket when it all went dark.
Pics of the beach yesterday, this morning and evening.
Seems no pics either. Keep getting an error message.
Levis 250cc. How cool a find is that! 🤩

Bruce, if you had a 2018 or newer Honda Goldwing, you could power up your entire home, as it has a 130 amp alternator on it, so it puts out 1,560 watts of power.
Okay, maybe not your entire home, but the lathe in your garage/shop.

Yesterday morning
Yesterday evening.
Still dark @ 6am no power.
We get spoilt in the city normally.
Except for maintenance shut-downs power is very consistent.
This picture posting is for some reason not consistent maybe doing something wrong.
