I’m betting that shut them up.  LOL

Yes .  They are a good bunch. Over 40 years ago people that purchased land near us kicked the snowmobiles off the little corner o f land they cut on to the trail .

The owners did not like anyone having some fun.  I was approached about crossing a little on my land.

We came up with a large reroute that extended the trail and gave them a section they could go wide open on.

Many years ago (late 70's, early 80's) my son and I used to ride with a group of local dirt bikers on a cross country run from Soap Lake to Coulee City, WA. It ran through the Deep Lake area and some real rugged box canyon type country. Near Coulee City, more open country. Ran for several years until some new small acreage owners didn't like the dirt bikes crossing their property. Neither Seth or I were on what I think was the final run, rerouted and lead by a couple deputies from the Grant County Sheriff's Office. A good friend who was on that run said it wasn't anything at all like it always had been. No surprise. Lots of stories and memories of the early days remain. Definitely not a sidecar thing.

Tim not sure how long you've been in Colorado but used to be a ride in February called the Elephant Ride, folks just jonesing to ride which started as a bar bet to ride over Guanella Pass. The local CZAR Uralista made several of these and other often search for snow rides. As I sit here watching it snow now in Denver I yearn for the beaches of S. Carolina my sister just sent me pictures of.

I will have to look into that. As long as I’ve got a warm hotel in town to stay in. I’ve done enough camping and snow country. Never again. Lol

Wouldn't count as a ride and I had to tow it back up the slight driveway hill. No traction on the slick road. A posing moment. I suppose that makes Petey and me posers? lol...

Evidently it's contagious, and a whole lot of fun no matter where you're from, or where you're headed.

When in College at Idaho State, we would cross country ski into Yellowstone over Christmas break and snow camp.  I had one of those new fancy Goretex tents and it got down to -25 F one night.  The cold had frozen the tent, and it was brittle enough that I accidently put my hand through the top of the tent. Yeah, that was the last time I snow camped.

Strong leash and Petey could have got you moving.
