Guys, we can relax here in this new forum software for the time being. I wanted to get a lot of content here and beat it up to see how it performs and you guys have really stepped up.

I have submitted a proposal to the board of directors to come here and explore this. So over the coming days (weeks) they will view these posts and maybe play with it a little. I will answer questions but the next step is the board will need to approve moving forward to implement this.

For my part, I need to test the ability to migrate all our previous posts in the old forum to this new forum. This is not a trivial task with over 84k posts. Al Olme was able to do that when he and Steve transitioned to the forum we have now retaining the previous 10-15 years of history. I need to meet that same standard and continue to protect all that history.

When and if the board approves the move what that also means is, the way I understand it now, all the posts from the old and new forum applications will be merged. To prevent duplication and confusion I will delete all the content that is here now, with the possible exception of the "Webmaster's Corner" forum. The other forums are duplicate names that I created for familiarity but can't continue with a merge.

I just want to keep you informed of this beta test and what the next steps are. I'll update again if anything changes.

I saw your post in the main forum and thought I check in here one more time to see if I'd missed anything that got posted over the Easter weekend.  And of course before disappearing in the big wipe.

This has been fun, Jerry.  Thanks!
