@chrisntx Hi Chris, it's an Aluma 8214HS Tilt

Which translates to 82" wide and 14' long, and the trailer tilts to load.

It just fits on the trailer, with about an inch to spare on each side.

Thanks MJ, I need 86" width. I found just found their A8810 ATV. ( https://alumaklm.com/products/recreational/atv-utv-trailers/a8810/) I really like that tilt you have. Thank goodness I had Steven to help me loading up in Mena using the U-Haul Toy Hauler. I decided then I would find my own trailer for next time.

Has your experience been good with Aluma?

I also found the Stinger & Kendon folding trailers, but they might defeat the reason I got a sidecar to begin with folding & unfolding them.

BTW, great shot with the rainbow!! You ordered that, right?? 😉

Chris @chrisntx, if you will allow me to save you several thousands of dollars...check out https://beartracktrailers.com/product/82-wide-utility-trailer/

There are several of us here that have a Bear Track trailer...which is as good as the  Aluma trailers....all aluminum...and half the price of the Aluma KLM brand trailers.

Most of us use the BTU82120S trailers, which is 82" between the removable fenders, and 10' long....and has an attached bi-fold ramp.

They do have wider...ATV style trailers too, but....WHY do you think you need a trailer that is 86" wide ?????

It's hard to imagine a sidecar rig that is wider than a Honda Goldwing 1800 with a Hannigan GTL sidecar,  and it fits on an 82" wide trailer.

So....WHY the need for 86"  ???????

Plus one vote for the BearTrack.  I got a quote for an Aluma 82”x 14’ that would be $7300.  BearTrack will be under $5k.

@miles-ladue Hi Miles, of course I will. The 86" came from Kent when I went to pick up my Goldwing with SC. But I will measure this afternoon. The only problem with Bear Track is that the closest dealer is 600+ miles from me in MS. However, I do love a good road trip. I am planning on visiting the Aluma & Kendon dealers tomorrow. Maybe it could be a good bargaining tool with Aluma. Right now, he's at a sticker price of $5983.00. I do like the pull-out ramp and front guard with toolbox, but I'm not sure $2500.00 worth of like.

.

Well, you are right, Miles. Measures 81" at the rear crash bar.

Chris @chrisntx, because I am of the salamander family, I newt that your rig was only 81" wide.

🫪

My Beartrack BTU82120S only cost me $ 3,800.00...and that included a spare tire/wheel and the mount for that.

The fenders on the Beartrack trailers are easy to remove... just 2 bolts on each fender. I personally have not had a need to remove them...to put my Sidecar rigs on, or off the trailer, but they can be removed quickly if you had a need to, then reinstalled once the rig is in place.

Towed mine almost 7,000 miles last year, from Washington State to Maine for the Sidecar National Rally...then back to Washington State, and it towed perfectly... zero problems.

Is there an "official" number of rigs that attended?

That I cannot say.  Not sure even Jerry could say because of the 100 people who picked up their registration packets, not everyone came in a rig. Best guess is over 50 and under 70.  Drive my rig through that gap….

Thane, are you saying that there was no one in attendance that took all of 1 minutes to walk around and count all the sidecar rigs that were there ?

It's alright....I know that math is hard for some people. All that adding....1 plus 1 plus 1 plus 1.

In some ways it is like when Odin told Thor to count all the rocks in Wales.  Because they were always in motion like fireflies, it’s difficult to know for sure.

That’s my story and I’m sticking to it. Eat

What about pictures? I thought Jerry told me he would send links to our email address.  I made a couple of videos to send to my wife of the rigs parked inside on Friday & Saturday. I don't think I got them all before something came up. I'll try to get them posted. I saw a number of others doing the same.
