Things have come up and I will not be making the rally. I cancelled my room at the lodge but they go fast so it may already be booked.

Dana

Wow!  That's a bummer Dana.

Maybe you could "fake your death", and escape out the back door of the morgue when no one's looking? 😉

So it looks like the stars are lining up and i will be able to attend. Looking at the rules etc my choice is camping with Sam. Does anyone have a camping spot that are allowed to share with me?

I would recommend that you just go there, find a good camp spot, preferably one already occupied by an old geezer like me, then park in a shady spot and wait.  Eventually, the guy in that spot will go for a ride.  That's when you swoop in, take down his tent, pack up all his gear, stow it all in the main building, then set up YOUR tent and gear.

Don't be there when the guy comes back.  Go park in your shady spot to watch as the old geezer wanders around acting like he's lost his mind.  Oh, the insanity!  What fun!

We've got a spot in the tent camping loop reserved that you would be welcome to share.  Even better, we are plains dwellers, too so you wouldn't have to be nervous about all the "mountain men"!  Of course, our dog, Maddie would likely ask you to throw frisbees which would certainly annoy YOUR dog wondering why you aren't throwing the thing for HIM!

It's going to be great to put faces with names, and explore a stunningly beautiful area.

Found out the Dorena-Hickman Ferry can be included on the trip to Iuka. 🤩   Hopefully it will be running.  Crossing the mighty Mississippi by ferry sounds pretty awesome.  😎

The National Sidecar Rally, along with any and all other Sidecar Rallies throughout the year, is a great place for sidecarists to talk to other sidecar owners/operators, check out all the other sidecar rigs in attendance, and....possibly upgrade or slide over into a new or different rig.

It's a great opportunity to look for sidecar rigs that are For Sale, and talk directly to the owner/seller to get an in-person detailed look at their rig.

Some time in the last couple years I remember a non-sidecarist asking if they could attend the sidecar rally, as they were hoping to get into sidecars, and my words of encouragement were to GO there, LOOK at every sidecar rig, TALK to the owners, ASK every question you can, whether you think it is silly or not, as sidecar rigs are a different world compared to the 2 wheeled motorcycles.

Therefore, I encourage ALL of you that attend this upcoming USCA Sidecar National Rally in Iuka, MS...to LOOK at every rig in attendance....TALK to every sidecar owner/operator....SHARE your deep well of information, and possibly someone buys or sells a rig as a consequence of these interactions.

For those that want to SELL your sidecar rigs, don't be shy or bashful about it. Buy or make a well worded sign, a large sign, and place it in plain view, so others don't have to wonder...."Hmm....I wonder if they might be interested in selling that fine sidecar rig ???"

Here,Here, I concur with Miles. I sold my 97 rig and Thane bought his current rig at the Rally in Mena. In that spirit I made a little flyer and it is posted in the local bike shops and a couple other places in MS. I wanted to be sure to share this opportunity with everyone in the area to come out and see the rigs whether they are interested in adding a car or just want to peruse what we will have there to show off. Nothing fancy just short and to the point

Due to circumstances beyond our control, we will not make the rally.

I just cancelled site 13 at J.P. Coleman if anyone is looking for an RV site.

Have fun - I look forward to the photos!
