Hmmmm, your idea is to stuff me in a plastic box kept at a storage facility in a remote part of Oregon over this winter.  Allowing plenty of time to reflect on the possibility of future ownership of a well built rig.

That makes good sense.  When marketing can capture an audience there is a positive benefit to sales.  😉

Oh, Great Scot, you are missing the bigger picture.

Eugene, Oregon is a COLLEGE town, filled with nubile college girls, and they are used to their boyfriends living in storage units, possibly even sleeping in a plastic cargo box, so you could be the next big hit in this college town.

THINK...outside the box...whether it be a plastic cargo box, or a cardboard box, or your wooden box in the hills of NE Utah.

I have settled on the name for this cargo box style sidecar rig intended for use in Alaska.....

Squatch

All the Squatch, none of the Sass

Razz

UPDATE: dateline October 10, 2025, reporting from Laredo, Spain..........

Just received pictures from the Magical Marvel Man of Molten Metal, that shows that my Africa Twin w/ DCT  is now on his workbench, and being reconfigured into a Sidecar rig.

When I dropped this bike off at his shop, I asked..."can I watch, or help ?"

He yelled...."NO, just go away"

Wherein I asked..."how far away should I go. ?"

And he replied, " leave this State....in fact, leave the Country"

Okay....we were forced.....forced I say, to flee the US for the sake of our lives, and spend the next 80 days in Europe, as that is how long he told me it would take to complete my sidecar rig.

Made all reservations, for 80 days and 80 nights...we arrive in Europe, and a week later he tells me that he will be done building my sidecar rig by the end of October.

WHAT. ????

You made me leave the Country for 80 days and nights, then a week later tell me you will be done in 30 days???

Oh, the Humanity. ! 🤕

THEE man is worth every dollar he charges. !

@miles-ladue Hey Miles, looks like it is starting to get real!

Chuck's signature build style, for sure.  If it ain't broke, it ain't going to break!

I joined this forum specifically because I’m hoping to put together an AT cargo box rig, so imagine my pleasant surprise when this was the very first post I saw upon the very first time I logged in. Any chance you’d be willing to sell me this one when it’s done, since you’re out of the country for a while anyway? I’m sure you could have him throw together another one before you get back from your trip, right? Right?

Anyway, I’m watching this build with great interest.
