I have built from scratch a utility sidecar for my 2008 FJR1300,  it’s driving good but now it’s time to address the heavy steering. I see customtrippletrees.com has them for sale ,or should I persue leading link forks . Raked trees worked well on my wifes TRIUMPH rig.

clearing the body work is my concern .

Thanks for any advice

In my experience,  considering the bike is an '08 FJR1300, I would go with the trail reducing triple trees,  and not the Leading Link front end.

raked trees worked well on my 07 VStrom and it wasn't an issue with the fairing.

At 5 or 6 degrees of increased rake you should be able to calculate how much change there is at the lower triple tree.

It will move forward a little.

The distance between the top of the forks to the axle divided by the distance from the top of the top tree to the bottom tree.

Will give the ratio to divide the amount of trail reduction to get the distance change at the lower tree.

I think that's  clear???
