Jesus Thane, "enthusiasm" when I first read your post, I thought it said "euthanasia". My eyesight not as good as it used to be. I do be worried about euthanasia being legal over here, in case my lads have a plan for me.Β

I have a theory about the word completion on phones:Β They are actually a bunch of elves that are trying to be helpful, but they are all drunk.
Illegitemi non carborundum est!

I don't know how close the engine case is between your bike and an R1100 GS, but if it is close enough, I'd be happy to post up some pictures of what the subframe, and links for SYZ look like.Β

@joe-goodfellow what's this hurry you refer to???

But I'll have you know it has brakes on all 4 wheels that I've yet to find the limits of.
Limiting limiters limitations?Β
Along with a factory 12 volt starter .
And it's an overhead cam engine.Β
Phew I'mΒ all a fluster now...
Electric start and Oh cam, very advanced for it's year. Those japs know their stuff! As you probably know, a lot of European cars of that age had rod brakes. Hope your Fiat has hydraulic. Not sure what the Iti's used
Thanks Sheaf, I think the crankcases are different but I will check
I think the telelever pivot point could be used for one of the upper attachments. I can make a modified swivel shaft with a fork end out of En24T.Β

Joe, I am aware that giving advice to an Olde Irishman is like sticking your nose in an argument about which dart is closer to the bullseye,Β when all the participants have been drinking Guinness and Whisky all day....and night.Β
However....don't try to reinvent the wheel,Β when building this subframe.Β Going off in odd directions can either result inΒ Nobel Prize in Physics,Β or result in a stay in the hospital.Β
We have lads on www.advrider.com. in the "hacks" sections, that live in the bloody UK, and at least one good man that lives in Ireland...other than yourself.Β
Be kind to olde Joseph Goodfellow, as you don't want to waste anymore skinned knuckles than you have to.Β

Hi Joe,
I ended up taking 22 pictures.Β Would be more than happy to email them in a zipped folder if that is easier for you?
Otherwise I can Post a few here, to see if posting more is going to be helpful.Β This is an older DMC of Washington design.Β It has done well off road, as well as on road.Β No breaks, or cracks.Β

Thanks flying monkeys I appreciate your advice. I do tend to over think problems, it's from my training at university (remember the pen problem the spacemen had writing in zero gravity?). When I was 17, a good while back, I bought a sidecar frame from a buddy. I attached it to a bsa b33 with a rigid back end. All I had for attachment was a ball joint that attached to the back wheel spindle., and the front swan neck I attached to the front down tube with, nΓ³ kidding, jubilee clips. I blasted around with that outfit around the Yorkshire Dales, and in winter in a few feet of snow. One thing that does puzzle me reading how outfit riders need ballast to stop the chair lifting, I never came across that problem. All I ever did was open the throttle when entering the bend and keep the drive on the back wheel. Maybe I was just naive and lucky😁
Well, the conversation was on MG TD photos so I'll show some of mine. Thankfully it was already restored.

That's a beaut! Round tail light must be a 53. Keep it preserved and it will last foreverΒ
Yes, it is a 1953.Β Sorry I forgot to mention that.
