You guys enjoy your  drinks, whilst I  try to  cool down  a bit. Was 102* ambient air temperature for the  last two  hours of  riding.  615 miles  today,  which on this  11 day trip, this is my  longest  mileage  day. Crying

sometimes my wit is wasted on you  guys Scared

Maybe it just takes us a moment to catch up?

Soooooooo?  It's still unusually warm in your neck of the country?  I DO ENTIRELY feel your pain regarding the heat.  Above 95 there just isn't anything left but to push through.  Oh, and the bag of ice melting inside your jacket can make for an ... interesting reception at your destination motel.  Just didn't care at that point whether I had half a bag of ice melted into my lap.

Can not LIKE  the post above,  where the Caretaker of Sidecar Willie is  whining  that  he  stubbed his  toe.

Calvin,  that is the great thing about  sidecars....you don't have to  put a foot  down to  balance it. You  sit in the  sidecar,  bum foot elevated,  and Sidecar Willie  can operate the  bike,  and bring your  bum foot to the  rally.

Ya. I think it's just a stubbed toe and nothing to "whine" about.

-- attachment is not available --

Calvin, I strongly suggest that you get to Urgent Care, as that photo appears to show a dislocated ankle.

Edit: On careful examination, that must be a stock photo of someone else, already in an exam room, with a broken ankle.

You said that you hurt your shifting foot, which is the left foot, but the photo shows a right foot broken ankle.

Ya. I just wanted to give you a humorous shock for calling me a whine baby,,,,lol.

BTW. Good eye on catching the wrong foot. I tried finding a really bad looking broken ankle for shock value. That's the best I could come up with. Eerr. I mean my shift lever is on the right side,,,lol.

And I might as well teach Willie to drive the bike. He all ready drives me around in the F-150.

Ouch!  I'd be at the clinic, chatting up the nurses over that!  Amazed

I did a wrist like that decades back, racing MX.  Nurse was an absolute sweetheart.  Doctor was an absolute sadist.  lol

What ever you do, don't tell them it was motorcycle related.  You were packing up camping gear to support a convention of orphans through the local convent.

Hold my keyboard and watch this! 🙃

BTW, tomorrow I have to go  through  SH*T.......that is the  state East of Nevada,  West of Colorado,  South of Idaho,  and North of Arizona.  It's  known as  SH*T, because of the  famous  sidecar  adventurer that  lives there.  So.....Scott Heath Immersion Territory. Whether  its the  heat of Summer,  or the  snow of Winter,  when you are  in SH*T, you are  totally  immersed in IT.

Get it ?

Immersion

Territory

It's a dry heat, so it doesn't count.  🤣

But I do like your acronym.  😎

Made it to Delta, Colorado,  now only 20 miles from Dana's house in Hotchkiss.  Will hook up with  him tomorrow morning.

Today was a  570 miles ride, and not as hot.

Meeting up with Miles in a few hours and then we are on the road to Kansas, I have room in the sidecar for Toto but Dorothy is going to have to find another ride. Maybe she can hitch a ride with a flying monkey somewhere.

See you all at the rally. friday

Scott,  in case you  can  make it,  I have  an extra  queen bed  available in my room  at the  Best Western Inn,  in Scott City,  Kansas, for  tomorrow night,  Wednesday night..

Tomorrow morning  Dana @DirtyDR, and John @spat, and I  will be  leaving  from the  Golden,  Colorado  area, and riding  to Scott City.....a small town in Kansas named after you,  Scott Heath.

So, if you can make it,  just ask the front desk to  call me,  and NO CHARGE for the  spare queen bed.
