Posted by: @miles-laduePosted by: @dirtydrAnd I’ll see ya’all Wednesday
See you Tuesday.
Dana, I will be at your house at 9:15, and 30 seconds.

I'm looking forward to seeing everyone there. Should be pulling in Thursday afternoon.
Wisdom comes from experience. Experience comes from bad decisions.

With the BattleWing Galactica being prepped on the launchpad, and final fueling taking place with the loading of the Dilithium Crystals, I will be cruising at low altitude/high speed on my way to...Bliss.....Bliss, Idaho that is. That is today's stop. Only 615 miles for today, and should take me a little more than 6 hours to do that 615 miles, all depending on whether road vermin will get out of my way.
Speaking of road vermin, it reminds me of a little diddy that was written many years ago, and was a collaboration between Willie Nelson and Kermit d' Frog.
It goes something like this:
I'm a toad again
Just can't wait to be a toad again
The life I love is riding sidecars with my friends
And I can't wait to be a toad again
I'm a toad again
Goin' places that I've never been
Seein' things that I may never see again
And I can't wait to be a toad again
I'm a toad again
Like a band of gypsies, we go down the highway
We're the best of friends
Insisting that the world be turnin' our way
And our way
Is riding sidecars with my friends...
I think you get the gist of how, and why, that little song was written. Sadly, it never made it to the top of the charts, as Willie Nelson, in a drunken stupor, insisted that he change some of the words, as he had a falling out with Kermit d' Frog once it was discovered that Miss Piggy favored Kermit more than she did Willie.

Nelson, I assume, not Sidecar Willy?
Illegitemi non carborundum est!

Must have been drinking these (Nelson that is 😉 ):

Hmm. Interesting. I bought a bottle of something called Gran Gala by Sazerac. VSOP brandy with three citrus extracts. Seems like a Sidecar on it's own without having to mix stuff together. I usually add a little bit to "mixer" bourbon when it's time for one.

You guys enjoy your drinks, whilst I try to cool down a bit. Was 102* ambient air temperature for the last two hours of riding. 615 miles today, which on this 11 day trip, this is my longest mileage day.
BTW, tomorrow I have to go through SH*T.......that is the state East of Nevada, West of Colorado, South of Idaho, and North of Arizona. It's known as SH*T, because of the famous sidecar adventurer that lives there. So.....Scott Heath Immersion Territory. Whether its the heat of Summer, or the snow of Winter, when you are in SH*T, you are totally immersed in IT.
Get it ?

sometimes my wit is wasted on you guys

How far is it one way for you?

OH NO!!!! My trip is in jeopardy!
I got the bike done. I got the sidecar done. I got the trailer mostly done.
I was carrying some camping gear out to the garage to put in the trailer and do a first full load out of this trailer. I fell out the door and twisted my ankle pretty bad. I don't think it's broke but it sure hurts. It's all swelled up. My shift toe is all jammed up too. I can't hardly walk on it. I spent most of the day in the chair.
The worst part is is broke the glass on my favorite lantern,,,,lol. And it aint cheap to replace, if I can even find one. Not you basic Coleman lantern.
If I remember right, stuff like this feels worse the next day. This is bad timing that's for sure.

Can not LIKE the post above, where the Caretaker of Sidecar Willie is whining that he stubbed his toe.
Calvin, that is the great thing about sidecars....you don't have to put a foot down to balance it. You sit in the sidecar, bum foot elevated, and Sidecar Willie can operate the bike, and bring your bum foot to the rally.

Ya. I think it's just a stubbed toe and nothing to "whine" about.
Not really my foot.
