What Is Your Ultimate "Dream Rig"?
My dream rigs would be the more the merrier as they are all different. I also like having the same solo bike to match the rigs. The biggest problem it is they become very time-consuming taking care of them.

Auction says bring a trailer. Heck with that ride it home.

Get really cool ones and keep them at Jay Leno's Garage. Keeps your garage uncluttered, they stay well maintained, and the riding is pretty much 24/7-365. 👍
Thinking about that, it could be a pretty cool franchise. Open garages near major airports where folks keep their rigs. Staff keeps them maintained, clean and ready to go at any moment. 🤩

Posted by: @andrew-bakerFirst. You can have more than one one. (Thank goodness or we'd all still be straddled with our first hormone-selected partner.)
Second. This thread is screaming for pictures. IE. What is a Stoye TM or TS? (in fairness @archtique can't post pics until they post once more)
Third. See "First". I just built my ideal rig but you can have more than one one.
Soooo- Here's my next ultimate (after my current ultimate) rig.
I've been saving my change ever since this one came up for sale a few years ago.

WOW!!!!! 😍
Think I'd sell a kidney for that rig!

The BMW R1200RS with Ruko Shark is amazing.
It would not fit our needs . But it would be an amazing rig to ride. If it were sitting in my yard ,and that is where it would be. I would find a reason to ride into to town 3 or 4 times a day.

Ultimately I was drooling over one of These.
Mike of LBS fame came on my radar right when my wallet was full of un-used loonies. Discussions followed. Soon I realized that the Stepler just wasn't practical for what I intended. Coming up to the crossroad, I turned left instead of right and ended up with my Overland. Probably the ultimate rig for me at this moment in time
Of course when I was a two wheel guy I loved my ST's maybe when I get old I should get one of these.
But by then maybe all I can handle is one of these.
As I said. Ultimate rig = N+1.

Brian, your LBS Overland is a GREAT sidecar. That was my planned sidecar, if Mike Paull had been willing to attach it to a Honda VFR1200X-DCT.
Can you imagine (just close your eyes for a moment) how much better your LBS Overland rig would be, if it was attached to the Honda version of your R1200GS......(okay, you can open your eyes now)

Posted by: @archtiquePosted by: @miles-laduePosted by: @archtiqueA Stoye TM or TS hitched up to my Halcyon 450. New to this forum, and looking for builders/installers in the sidecar industry. I know they're out there, but damn they're hard to find.
Tony Guinn, actually, all the sidecar builders, manufacturers, custom designers, fabricators are all quite easy to find, and we know where they are all..World Wide....not just in the USA. So, if you ask us, we can help you out by telling you the Who, What, and Where.
Given that you post above is your very first post, could you give us some help, in helping you?
WHERE are you ? Have you owned a sidecar rig before ?
Hello, and thanks for the reply. I'm in Lakeland FL, and have owned 2 rigs, Vespa PX150 and Ural Tourist. I've just recently started the hunt. Found a Stoye at Blue Moon Cycles, but it got away before I could react. Any direction you can provide would be great!
Seems I have some work to do to get to post pics. The Stoye's from 30's, 40's and 50's have had my eye for years. The streamline German design is appealing to my old school ways. One of the aluminum replicas coming out of Europe would be perfect, so hoping I can get some leads here to find an importer.

The TM (pictured
) was a touring model with large trunk that came out in the 50's. It improved on previous versions by adding a fluted center section between tub halves to give riders more room. The TS was a sport model that came out a couple years later with a smaller trunk.

Nice. I see what you like about it.

Appears to be several shops hammering out aluminum replicas in Europe, but I'm not finding anybody so far who's importing. The quest continues....
