I remember a big brake pads catalog in a motorcycle shop in which pads is drawn to its size and you just have to put your own on to check. EBC I think.

@prmurat1

Most likely EBC makes pads for it if you can track it down.

The pad number for a EBC pad should be FA266 and you can get them in all the different materials. I use the V

@mgv8 , same here; call it sidecar yoga!  Keeps you young!  Actually have a greasy yoga mat that makes it not so bad.

Regarding Welding:  As most of you know, I have welded on my DMC WA Expedition unit a lot (mosty TIG, some stick)... Frame braces, subframe braces, etc., never had an issue with it attached to the Africa Twin.  I keep the ground close to the the welding area, and make sure it is a good connection.  All is good. basic_smile

As of this morning all of the paint is done. I have always known it had a Progressive shock. was not sure of the model . Found out after a little research it is an Older Progressive used on 1500 GL. No longer in stock. The replacement is a 412-4213C.

Mine is still good but ordered new bushings for it.  Start putting it back on the evening of the 7th.

With death of my MIL that lived with us the sidecar took a back seat when it came to time.

Almost time to get the sidecar back on. Once a year I take my bike in have a trusted tech go over it. See if I have missed anything. That happens today.

Good day for it to be in the shop. Some Thunder storm warning out. And this time of year we can get some good ones.

Tomorrow if nothing else comes up start putting sidecar back on. TN trip is coming up fast now.

That's a great idea.  Second set of fresh eyes.  I always enjoyed having someone look over my work.  😎

Hold my keyboard and watch this! 🙃

Problem with Bremo . They think they are to good to deal with a customer. It is pushed off on parts supplier. In most case that works.

But if you do not have a caliper installed on a factory bark as it came factory. It will depend if dealer feels like find the part.  And that is what I ran into.

If I could not give them Make model year engine size ect they would not even bother.

It took time and effort I did get them.  It would be a real pain if it was a part needed on the road.

Don the road if Ican find a replacement Caliper . The Bremo goes in the scrape pile.

On that  note above by @smitty901,  I  just  happen to have  the book on Brembo brake pads, calipers,  etc....printed for  Champion Sidecars.  But the same information  could  relate to  any Sidecars that  use  Brembo brake calipers.  It shows  part numbers for  each of  different  Brembo  brake pads.

-- attachment is not available --

@smitty901, yes.... the book I have shows that caliper, and the brake pads.

That caliper is the  Brembo F05 - P32F

The Brembo  pads for  that  caliper are: 107.2686.22  replaced by 107.BB01.10

The  aftermarket  brake pads available  for your  caliper are:

EBC:  FA 47

SBS 519

VD911

FDB207

FDB705

DP601

If you ever need to  rebuild  that  caliper,  I have all the  individual  part numbers for  each part in that caliper.

If you  would like,  I can  scan the  two  pages of this  book, and send that to you.

@mgv8 Roger that!!!  Spent a year looking for a place with a shop that had a high enough ceiling for a car hoist, finally compromised on the Skunk Hollow place that can't.  Oh well; side car yoga; it does a body good! lol8
