Welcome to sidecars, Martin! Lota great people here, so you're sure to get quality answers to whatever questions you may have.

Looks like you have a fairly desent unit to start with. What are your plans? Build a rig for your own use? Fix it up and sell?

Maybe see you on the West Michigan roads some time!

Bruce

You have a Velorex 562E model. Series 562/03. This is the econony model sold new at $200.00 less than the 562 Standard. Basic body and chassis are identical between the two models. Weight is 154#. This sidecar is not safely attached to a heavy touring motorcycle.
This sidecar has a 15mm axle and very light suspension as it was designed for use with a 350cc Jawa or 350cc MZ motorcycle. 300# bikes.
If mounted to a larger midddleweight bike it should have upgraded suspension to support the heavier bike without bottoming out.

Some parts are still available for this model. We have Bike frame mounts, convertible tops with bows and bolt on suspension upgrades with wheel & tire here and many other parts warehoused. Windshields, tonneau covers, brake parts and many other pieces. The seats are not available but we have sources for replacement ones for a reasonable price.
