Am I the only guy on the forum that has a scooter tug and a sidecar(Cozi) ??? :o:( Does that make me special or an outlaw? 😉

No and it doesn't mean you are small minded either. I once built a minibike with a sidecar.

You're not alone out there. Here are a few I've done and one oddball I've been involved in.

I'm wondering if anyone ever rode as monkey on the oddball Lonnie. I think it would have given whoever did a bit of a thrill if not worse. Phelonius, this guy was at the C d'A rally. He makes these.

Thanks, guys. I knew that there had to be some scooter rigs out there. The Stella/Cozi comes close to my rig HP wise. Mine is 151cc, 10.1 hp. Floyd Grimm, the manager of Vespa Marietta sold me my Cozi and has just put one on his
Stella. Down the road I will probably put one on the Honda CB400A. The odd ball rig looks interesting but I am not that suicidal!!!

Scott is partially paralyzed and wanted something to buzz around Marysville, WA on.
The design is his low, low budget way to get some wind.
Crude maybe, but where there is a will, there is a way.

Here on the big island, I have seen a Honda Ruckus 50cc with cargo sidecar.
It was conduit tubbing brazed together and canvas body panels.
It would be severely disadvantaged in a head wind or steep hill.
I have given thought to making one myself as a neighborhood vehicle that could carry my wheelchair.

The beer cooler and the thing that looks like a duck head may have caused me to judge this rig...well...somewhat differently than I might otherwise have done. 😉 😉

You may want to check out the post by Rob98801 located under Complete Rigs Wanted. Look for the "250cc or Less + Sidecar" topic.

There is a link to a magazine article in which a guy describes his 4000 mile trip on a Vespa + sidecar through 17 states.

A old friend of mine back in the late 70's rode a HD two up with his wife. He met someone who had a Vespa sidecar rig and tried it out. He wanted one, but was concern his wife wouldn't like sitting in the sidecar. She didn't but discovered how much fun it was to pilot herself. End of story, they sold the HD and ended with two identical Vespa sidecars, and off they rode into the sunset.

Good on Scott for his innovative answer to a physical problem. The Keltic unit looks promising for the smaller scoots. May look into that for my Genuine Buddy 170i scoot.

Just tried to email Keltic and the email address does not exist. I suspect that they may have gone out of business as the website has not changed in some time either. Nothing past 2011
that I can find. Pity, looked like a good hack.
