Bit of a stretch, that. How closely spaced are the poles in Oz?
I think that was attributed to Panther sloper singles.Posted by: @brstrThey used to say the Vincent's fired every lamp post in top gear.
Yes a stretch but that was the concept when flat out in top.
Only ever saw one race at Bathurst in 79.
It and a Norton Manx ran 150mph down conrod straight together.
2 strokes were the top class machines at the time.
But the older bikes you could hear (at the top of the mountain) take off from the start line.
But not the 2 strokes.
James @bentforks, your Rapide looks quite different than my former '53 Vincent Black Shadow, as mine was 100 percent stock, and in Concourse condition, as it used to be in the Harrah's Auto Museum in Sparks, Nevada before it was willed to me. I showed it in the LeMay Auto/Motorcycle Museum, in Tacoma , WA. for 18 months before eventually selling it to Ewan McGregor.
Once I get home from this current road trip, I will post some pics of it.

Sold my Shadow several years ago when I decided to cease solo riding. It had a wrecked front end and I rebuilt it in the early 70's with S.S. fenders having issues with alloy on my first Rapide. Second restoration with a new crank in 2011 I painted the fenders black.

Jon, can you make one that looks like a S'more ?
That would be a better tasting sidecar than one that looks like a Stroopwaffle.
AND...you could built it so that the top Graham Cracker could lift, revealing a hidden storage area inside all that Marshmallow filling.
