Possibly have a buyer for the Honda scooter..

Will see tonight.

He was the second to offer a fair? way under my ask.

Same price as the last guy so that does that say?

I paid to much.

Not to worry it will be good to have the space.

A bike, a scooter, a sidecar and a trailer make it crowded in my garage.

Her garage has it's own issues....

Hmmm not show.

Or at least not front.

Posting was a bit premature.

Off to visit my sister tomorrow.

We are all getting old now.

She and hubby have health issues that says to me,

"sieze the day"

The plan was to take my old Daihatsu Rocky.

2,8 liter turbo diesel.

Uses just under 10ltr per 100klm

It's a 900 to a 1000 klm round trip.

perth pdsl
perth dsl

The recent diesel fuel fluctuations in Perth.

Also have an old Corolla.

Not sure of its consumption but it's less than the Rocky.

Just looked up a review.

Seems around 7.5ltr per 100klm.

This fuel chart is for Sydney but close enough.

sydney u91

Might have be smarter to take the car.

What says 3.14?

The back story here is the people in charge have committed us to going electric.

And that being China dependant for infrastructure, cars etc etc.

Reality be dammed.

Hence we only have 2 refineries left from 8 or 10.

Not using our own coal but shipping it to China.

Similar with our gas.

Oil drilling our own available reserves isn't happening.

We only had 30 days supplies of fuel available.

Now with the straights of Hormuz situation we are in a crisis situation.

This all make sense to you?

Now while I was rediting the previous post a second time I lost this post.....

Which I shall now resubmit......

S40.

Then the Japanese version of that engine which should have been sold globally to my mind.

-- attachment is not available --

Then the big butt seat.

I will try and see.

Sidecar?

Possible.

A random thought I entertained and not about this bike but there are kits available.

Is a hardtail.

Probably not with this bike but if a cheap earlier one came up who knows.

We have one inmate with an inspired hardtail build already.

They make great little sidecar rigs..

Yes it's a consideration.

The 650 is a nice toquey motor.

It would struggle on the freely but be fun on the byways.

Oh and today apparently one of our remaining 2 refineries had a major fire.

The one at Geelong.

I actually did some Ali welding there in 1979.

Maybe my welds failed???

Fuel fluctuations in Oz.

The 2 pumps are top ups after 470 klm each way. If I'd taken my small diesel 4wd it would have been double the price.

Seem to have interest in a couple of my old vehicles. Might have enough headspace as well as physical space to get back working on my sidecar

Offered 3 vehicle's for sale.

The cheapest headed to Busselton this morning.

I did enjoy the little Honda but space in the garage is good.

Bruce, what are the other 2 vehicles you are looking at selling ? I presume one of them is the Dodge truck, but please don't tell me you are thinking of selling your 1925 Fiat.

Oh, the 2026 conundrum...to sell vehicles due to lack of space, or to buy a much larger property/house/ranch that offers unlimited parking spaces.

Yes on both counts.

The Dodge and the Fiat.

Did get asked about the big trailer this week but I will most likely hang on to it. Certainly need it to house the Fiat for now.

Maintaining older vehicles long term while not excessive will not be viable when there's multiple registrations involved.

Better to rework the sidecar and simplify.

Realised I had 6 registered machines and 2 trailers.

Moving to a larger property would be nice for me.

Rural or semi rural.

But getting the wife on board???

Good luck with that.

I think along with the complication and joys Cambodia brings.

Having crossed a couple of major's off the bucket list I will be satisfied.

Bruce, good luck with the sales, that Fiat is so cute!

Simpler is definitely nice.  I have added a couple of vehicles into the stable, lately, and enjoy them.  However, the increased overhead of paperwork and maintenance is a mental drain.

The little Virago is sold (even paid for), but still seems to loiter in my garage!

@scott-h

I thought that should be Gooderer...

Oh simple?

Right.

Not so simple situation here.

Just something to navigate.

This site doesn't seem to like a member/user being logged in on 2 devices at once.

Am I wrong on that point?

It may be just me so just asking here.

My current short term solution when I locked myself out by misplacing my login details?

Open a second account.

The admin very kindly helped me get back into my 1st account.

For now I have 2 accounts.

Which is a headache of sorts for the admin.

The upside for me is being logged in on 2 devices.

This one is on my phone where it's easy to take and upload photos but with a smaller screen to view them with.

The other in my tablet with the bigger screen

The other account was not a good choice on my part and I apologise for the unnecessary inconvenience.

It was a a 6 month free offer.

Included the magazine I don't need being sent to Australia at unnecessary expense.

So feel free not to send the magazine.

I will attempt to be more organised my end.

@brstr For you, Bruce, we'll overlook the oversight (eat your heart out Joseph Heller!)

As for logins on multiple devices, I'm currently logged in on three devices and as long as I don't forget my credentials, everything works so that isn't the issue.

I did let membership know that you're not wanting the magazine sent.
