Patience grasshopper.
Mind that is an awesome machine.
Pretty sure I'd been chomping at the bit also.
That motor was built in one form or the other for what 60? Years?

It's basically the same as the original Scott motor built in 1908
Went to pick up the 3rd set of gas struts for the trailer.
It was the charm it seems.
Sorted the axle for now so the brake won't self destruct.
Weighed it with the car and related bits.
Total of 1383kg out of a legal 1400kg.
So that's about it.
May add a 40 watt solar panel to go with the built in car battery for lights etc.
The 100 yr old car has a mobile shed and I have room to work on the triple trees.
Both in my garage and my head.

I bought this in England, it's been stuck in Montreal for a month. I'm pissed.
Is it there yet?

No it's not here yet. It's about 4 hours away in Saskatoon, I paid to have it shipped to Regina, but it seems as if they don't like that . I have been told that there is no customs office in Regina, and neither is there a bonded warehouse, but both those claims are lies.
I am going to collect a Honda Shadow from somewhere else in Saskatchewan this morning. I'm beginning to think I will never get the Scott.
Appeared on Gumtree this morning.
Other side of the country else I would at least have a look.
Seems to be one they brought in to check Australian compliance.
I like the syle at least if not the colour.

Half the price and twice the bike.
And only on the far side of the city.
WOW, that's some wild Mad Max tried and true Australian sidecar rig there, the Suzy 1400.
That Toyota emblem on the sidecar....is that there for proof that this sidecar rig crushed one Toyota in the Western Outback ???
Two Million Mile Rider
Exploring the World in Comfort
Probably past a hilux goin so fast he scared the badges clean off of it.
Appears to be a genuine DJP sidecar and you have to love the tank extension.
Started measuring again from scratch.
I've got my little machine shop set up mostly and a little space for the layout on a sheet of MDF board.
Painted one side white for clearer marking .
Drew the overall fork centre line and relationship with as many things that seem needed, logically.
Started with 30mm trail.
Also drew static sag of 43mm to see what that varied.
Nothing with forks parallel and minimal I think raked.
That comes with a small height loss, maybe 10 or 12 mm.
Will revisit with 50mm trail and see if there's enough metal to maintain stock height.
Just a little over my head here so it pays to spend time away then come back with a slightly fresher outlook.
The current plan is to make another from wood to work out the design and the process required along with the correct procedures.
Envious of that modification you’re about to work on! I wanted to slap on the raked triple trees of an NTX 650/750 onto my V7 III, but discovered the V7’s steering neck is longer than the NTX’s (V7 III and V9 have the same beefy steering neck length). Was thinking about getting some raked triples custom made. The NTX might be the only Guzzi small block with a raked triple.
I don’t know if it’s worth anything to you, but here are the specs of the NTX 750 triples, taken from its workshop manual:
