That can be arranged =)

Great picture! Looks like you two are are enjoying the great outdoors. 😎
Bruce has a great point on the natural fall of your arms.
When you get things setup and some riding time, pay attention to how your triceps, shoulders across the upper back, lower core, and wrists feel after a ride. This will tell you a lot. Moving the bars back from the steering stem increases the amount of energy required to steer the bike. Pay attention to what happens with your elbows when steering. If they droop and/or move in towards your torso that is a good indicator that things are not right. Sore wrists are most commonly caused by lever positioning, but can also be caused by bar sweep, or just too darned much force input to the bars over a period of time.
Good luck with this project. Hope it works out great! 🍻

That's an odd thing for me. Within the first 20 minutes I find my hands gone tingly. I take my hands off and dangle them, then everything is good for the rest of the day.
Illegitemi non carborundum est!
Helibar update.
All of the disassembly is done and only one pesky screw, to much righty tighty methinks. Yes of course it was awkward! A small screw holding the switch assembly to the throttle side handlebar. I solved it by removing the handlebar and flipping it upside down so i could push down on the screw; it took a pair of molegrips to move it.
Otherwise pretty simple to do really, assembly tomorrow after a quick trip to wally world for some dot 4 ready to bleed.
This is the video i used pretty clear

Same here when I see a banana split. Only it's my whole body that gets tingly. If not caught in time, drooling is the next stage. 🤩
Do you have carpal tunnel issues with your wrists? Could it be just slightly over tight grip/bent wrists when starting off the ride? There are some pretty good YouTube videos that cover proper ergonomics and body posture. Maybe try a full length dressing mirror placed beside you in the garage to help see your posture on the rig when you first saddle up. Or get your wife to take a video of you from the side before leaving the driveway. Once your wrists get tingly, you may be subconsciously changing your posture/grip to help keep the issue at bay.
Years... err... decades ago (lol) my brother was following me through some tight single track trails. When we came to a stop he asked why I ride standing with the upper torso twisted to the left. Turns out there was an issue with the roost protector rubbing on the left pectoral. I was subconsciously twisting my body away from it. I had been doing a lot of hair scrambles and MX racing at the time. It probably started then. When trail riding and practicing I wore a layer between the protector and skin. I didn't when racing. Fixed the chest protector, and practiced at the local MX track without a base layer, paying attention to body posture to correct it. But not before spending hours of garage time going through the entire bike to find out what was bent. Turns out it was only me.

Steve...WHY do you need Dot 4 brake fluid ?
There is no need to open the brake lines or clutch lines.

Gotcha no loss so no new fluid needed =)

Steve...and Cy (as he is supervising this operation)
When you remove the brake master cylinder, and the clutch master cylinder from the handlebars, have a towel on the dash area, and support both of those master cylinders by way of a bungee cord, or two, wrapped around the outside of the windshield, then coming around to support the master cylinders...one at a time, so that (the point is) that you lay the brake and clutch master cylinders on the towel so they are upright, not upside down, so that no fluid will leak out of them...even by mistake.
If you don't allow the master cylinders to leak, then there is NO need to bleed those systems, as they are a sealed system, and currently the brakes and the clutch are working fine.
EDIT: Steve, did the Heli-Bars KIT that you received today, come with brake and clutch line fittings, like the guy in the video is showing, for you to relocate the angle of the brake and clutch lines as they come off the master cylinders ?????
If the Heli-Bars KIT does include new brake and clutch master cylinder fittings, to relocate the ANGLE of how the hoses attach to the master cylinders, call me, so we can talk.

Yeah i have done all that and the cylinders are laying on the towel no leaks. I did get the kit included and the angle is currently set downwards

Wait a dog-gone minute....a Brit that has become so Americanized that he now drinks "coffee".
Your Sister back in the UK would hardly recognize you, with a cuppa "coffee" in your hands, rather than a stately cuppa Earl Grey.
Oh, the Humanity....when the Brits refuse a cuppa Earl Grey and choose a cuppa coffee instead.

@scott-h With me its mainly backache, as one leg is a bit shorter than the other wonky hips don't help as the movement is restricted. So being able to sit more upright will be a plus. Thanks for the info =)

Back in the days of shorter travel harsh suspension we wore kidney belts. First round of the MX Nationals this year, and one of the young 250 riders mentioned he had hurt his back and was wearing a kidney belt to help support his lower back. The older media guys who know what they are were joking around with the rider. Was a fun banter.
In any case, they are still available. I wore one with multiple vertical ribs on the back, and expanding mesh in between for better breathing. Can't remember the brand. Maybe O'neal or Malcolm Smith Racing (MSR). What I like about this style of brace is the flexibility, lightness, breathability and comfort. AND... my kidneys still work. 😎
In any case, I sure hope your new kit works out awesome! 🍻

I believe that We, The People need to have a poll about whether Steve & Cy (his dawg) should get a bike with a DCT transmission.
That means a Honda...and not necessarily a Goldwing, as Honda produces...and has produced...that DCT transmission in at least 5 different models of bikes, of which I have personally owned 4 of the 5 models produced with a DCT transmission.
2019 Goldwing w/DCT
2018 Africa Twin w/DCT
2017 VFR1200X w/DCT
(2x) 2017 CTX-700 w/DCT
Maybe, because Cy is such a loveable dawg, we can pass the oak barrel (a hat is too small) and make donations for Cy's new sidecar tug....a Honda with a DCT transmission.
Knowing that Steve is too humble and shy to accept these donations, let's disguise the donations as petty cash for Cy's kibble and bits.
Okay....okay....maybe not, but it's the thought that counts.

Miles tell the truth you just want to have the 2015 back, chuckle!
Just a bit of work today its hot out and this old man is tired.
The bars fit, the throttle cables are long enough. Right handlebar is complete, just the left handlebar to refit then route the cables.
Cy sez he wants a raise for stuporvising
