I received a visitor this morning, a traveling Sidecarist from Maryland. Mike Bender @bannerguy is On The Road with his 2023 Wing and Hannigan Dream Sidecar. We met up 2 days ago for lunch in Aberdeen, Washington....then he came around to my shop this morning so I could do a full oil change on his bike, with both filters...engine and DCT filters....check/set tires, check his rig out, then get him back On The Road.
Mike...the mileage on your bike for this oil change was...14,404.....write that down somewhere.

The pilot of this 2023 Goldwing w/DCT transmission and Hannigan Dream Sidecar is having a bit of difficulty whilst ON THE ROAD.
I am doing my best to assist him with counsel, and advice.
The issues are the DCT transmission on the bike....which I believe we have a temporary handle on, that can at least get him home to Maryland.
And, the incompetent installation of the auxiliary fuel tank on the backseat of the bike, where the handle for the Turn On/Turn Off valve has come loose because....some employee at Traxxion Suspension failed to use Blue Loctite on the threads of the screw holding that handle in place.

As a follow-up on this intrepid traveler, and his current monkey, his Granddaughter, Sophia...all is well, or as well as can be expected.
They are remaining ON Route, and have fixed the fuel transfer valve on the aux fuel tank (small fingers Sophia to the rescue), and the pilot, @bannerguy is pushing onward, as I suggested, and he is enjoying the adventure.

Our intrepid traveler @bannerguy, was last seen roaming the different hotels in Kansas City...deciding if KC, Kansas was better or worse than KC, Missouri
He now has less than 1,100 miles to go to his home, in Baltimore, Maryland.
Will he take 2 says to do this final stretch, or take a more leisurely 3 days, and maybe see the World's Largest Ball of Twine along the way ?
