The last rear tire gave me over 30k miles. I run a Michelin Pilot Active 130/70/18 rear motorcycle tire on the front with the rotation reversed.

I run a Bridgestone Potenza 195/55/16 from Tire Rack and get great mileage. The tire runs cool even when pulling an Aspen camper.

I generally get about 28mpg when towing the camper. I try not to be in a hurry 🙂
