Replacement voltmeter for Compufire Alternator ?

I've got a 90 Wing with a compufire alternator and the analog gauge is not reading correctly any longer. It's reading roughly 2 volts lower than it should. I figure it probably has water damage after all these years although it doesn't fog up on the inside ? It's installed in the storage lid (underneath the right handgrip) which I'm not crazy about, but that's the way the I got it.

I'm looking for suggestions for a replacement. I'm not sure if I want to buy a new lid (I haven't checked the cost) and mount a new one somewhere else or fit a new gauge in the existing hole ?
Maybe a marine gauge would be better since it is horizontally mounted ?
Wouldn't mind a digital one, but I think it would look out of place ?
Are all cycle gauges waterproof ?

Don't really want a $500.00 gauge either........

Suggestions ?

Happy Holidays !!!!

TIA !!!!!!!

I've got a Honda Marine analog voltmeter on my GL1800. You can pick one up off of ebay for about $30. Cheaper if you spend some time searching Google.

I'm kinda leaning that way. I think I'll take it out and get the dimensions off it. It would be the easiest fix anyway.
