[Sticky] Introduce Yourself!
Very new to this forum and to the sidecar world. For decades I’ve wanted an old flat head Harley with a sidecar (My grandfather had one). I found a 1950 WL (Titled a 1942 WLA due to and engine change) and subsequently found a 40’s vintage Goulding Sport Rocket on what appears to be an LS frame modified for use on a big twin (previously installed on a Shovel head). I have been trying to source mounting components from a fellow in Poland (Artur of Classic Sidecars) and I’m finding that to be a challenge. I may have to fabricate what I need but would prefer to use the correct components if at possible. I’ve searched the internet until I get cross eyed, purchased the history of Goulding book written by the founders grandson etc. and will continue my search… If anyone has any information on Goulding, I’d love to hear about it.
Alfred please feel welcomed to this forum.
Now after you have posted a couple of more comments and then after I believe your 3rd posting?
It will possible and greatly desired of the rest of us to see pictures of this outstanding combination.
Your sidecaŕ body and it's chassis are not models I am familiar with precisely though Goulding is a common older sidecar.
You could start perhaps with a bit about your self and your location?
I like the idea of building a rig the likes your granddad rode.
Mine had I believe a Douglas in the late twenties early thirties.
My mother started out in the chair and shifted to pillion as she got bigger.
I don't know of any pictures sadly.
Cheers. Bruce
