Posted by: @bakerboatgmail-comIn response to the recent interest in selling stuff at the rally, we will be setting aside an area in one of the two barns on the fairgrounds that we have access to, to provide a weather protected space for your gear. Tags and pens will be provided to identify your gear and provide contact info. More details to follow.
Thanks.
Important Notice: I just happen to have an original 1941 Ural seat, for the motorcycle, not for in the sidecar, and it will be brought to the Rally in Topsham, and put in the community Swap Meet, for sale.

Afternoon all, Getting closer to this years rally so if you intend to vote for officers this year by mail, please get them heading my way so they are here in time. If you are planning to vote at the rally, I have ballots available. Safe traveling to all. (love how this copy & paste works :-))

One crew member just arrive here from down south.

Update on Jerry's travels to the rally. I departed Houston on Monday morning and trailered my bike to Nashville. I rode various 3 digit state highways across eastern Kentucky and am now in Lewisburg, WV. Tomorrow (Thurs, 6/5) I will ride the state highways north thru WV and up into north central PA. Hopefully camp in the state forests north of I-80 (there may be some rain moving in). From there I will head north into upstate NY and camp a few days in the Adirondack Park. Then head east across the northern parts of the New England states. Including a side track up Mt Washington before heading into Topsham in about a week. Looking forward to seeing everyone there!!

My wife and I are attending the rally in Maine, but I can't seem to find any information about what's happening at the fairgrounds day to day. Does anyone have or know of a schedule? Maybe I missed something.

@mikem I responded to your email earlier, but for others with similar concerns we hope to get an email blast out to registered attendees within the next day or so to include the agenda, links to some suggested rides and more. In general, Thursday and Friday are days for riding with lunch and dinner on your own and planned ice cream rides each evening. There will be a planned ride for Saturday to attend an open house of a significant motorcycle collection hosted by a friend. Included are a couple BMW Rennsport side car racers and a few other sidecar racing machines. This is about a 180 to 200 mile round trip via scenic backroads and is well worth while. Saturday activites are at the fairgrounds for those who wish to attend and include morning seminars, afternoon sidecar games, meetings, supper, door prizes and closing ceremonies.

@webmaster you've got a great adventure ahead of you and some great riding. Adirondacks are great or another nice ride is following the SeaWay Trail across northern NY along the St. Lawrence River. Very scenic and lots of history revolving around the war of 1812 and more. Crossing into Vermont from NY there are a number of ferries from top to bottom of Lake Champlain or you can take the bridge on the north end where you will have Canada to your left, Lake Champlain on your right, Vermont straight ahead and NY in the rearview mirror! Route 2 is good across northern VT and NH and brings you right close to Mt. Washington or you can come in from farther south and take "the kanc" Kancamaungus highway on the way to Mt. Washington. Other great rides in that area include Evans Notch and the Hurricane Mountain Road. Ride on my friend!! See you in Topsham!

Forgot to mention that Ben & Jerry's ice cream Mecca headquarters is just a very short detour along that route.

Leaving Olympia, Washington tomorrow morning for my 3,333 miles trek across the country, just so I can attend the USCA National Sidecar Rally in Topsham, Maine.

Don, in this organization...It Shall Be Done !
Whilst it is up to the Rallyhost and his fellow volunteers to take care of this, and I shall not speak for them, as I am but a very small grain of sand on the beach of life...I will personally mention this to them whilst I am at the Rally, and kindly ask that they mail your Rally shirts to you, and your wife.
If there are any postal charges for mailing these shirts to you, I shall cover those charges myself.

@donbmw We registered, but couldn't attend the national two years ago. I sent a note to the rally master. They mailed the shirts after the rally was over, due to how busy they are with rally stuff 🙂

@donbmw Sorry you are unable to attend. We will mail your shirts following the rally. Kindly email a reminder to me tomgerken53@gmail.com
