In the hack today the 'bot' posted about 350 posts over about 4 hours. This started about 3 am which is during daylight working hours for Europe where most of these hackers come from. That cannot happen again! I realize now I cannot prevent a determined 'bot' from bypassing my safeguards.
One way I can prevent this from happening again is to disable registrations daily overnight. I can turn them off when I sign off at bedtime and turn them on again after my first cup of coffee. Let me apologize in advance if you can't sleep and decide you would like to register at 3 am. 🙂
