Triple tree degree & supplier?
Toyman, from what I understand from dinner-table discussions with a sidecar installer/trike builder in our area, the Tri-Glide trees are either 3 or 3-1/2 degrees, where he prefers 5 degree trees on the FLH's for easier steering and less "bump-steer" effect from the sidecar wheel hitting potholes/bumps.

I have the Liberty trees which are 5 degrees, I believe. The steering is easy on my Road King but one thing to keep in mind is that the nacelle on the Road King is a fixed angle so when you change the trees five degrees it causes the headlight to point higher. Five degrees is about the maximum limit that you can adjust the headlight back down from. This may not be a problem with the Ultra, but I though I should mention it.

Toyman I have champion sidecars triple trees which are also 5 plus degrees and will work like the rest. Well built and finished. It does permit you to retain the harley steering damper mounting plate behind the lower triple tree. Not all others trees will permit this without drilling and tapping. Others will tell you that the damper isn't necessary but I'm running with mine for those oops moments when only the sidecar wheel hits an obstacle.... Or pothole! Once I get more seat time with the new trees, I may remove it. I run steering dampers on my sport bikes for stability and they didn't "need" them either but it's a nice assurance on uneven terrain.
