Hi All
I have been reading the threads and thinking about installing these on my 2000 FLHT. Then I was thinking on a dresser they may not fit. The inner fairing and light bar attaches to the upper fork legs. The inner fairing on the Tri-Glide is set at a little bit of a different angle than the regular FLHT inner fairing. Any thoughts on this. I may be completely mixed up on this. Thanks for listening See Ya Ken

It will bolt right on, all you need is the triple tree set, the metal "thingy" below the outer fairing and 1-3/4" longer fork tubes or use the tri-glide lower legs. Takes a weekend...

Jane1450 Do you happen to have the part numbers ? Does this give you 3 or 5 degree rake ? Did you use the TriGlide sliders along with the triple trees ?

The sliders are the same.
The tubes are longer to accomodate the rake.
Spacers can do the same job.

I would also be interested in the part numbers. I have a 2003 FLHTCI with a 1989 California sidecar. At 71 years and counting I need all the help I can get.

Here's the parts list...no, the sliders are not the same, they are taller. We went with longer tubes because we wished to re-use the custom legs on the bike.

H-D Part Numbers:
83374-09 Bracket Assembly, fork stem Approximately $200
83404-09 Bracket, upper fork stem $100
83453-09 Skirt, outer fairing $ 35
Optional longer forks:
83800-09 Fork Assembly, complete, Left $145
83801-09 Fork Assembly, complete, Right $145

Where did you get your parts. I checked an online HD dealer that states 20% off list and came up with a total of about $820, also left fork number showed up as NG. Still a better price than a Champion triple tree. The first poster mentioned the angle of the inner fairing, that could be due to the change in rake. I read on an HD forum that the wind seems to hit tri-glide riders with more buffeting that appears to be because of the rake change. Wasn't there also an issue with the fork stops?

My Husband does consulting work for H-D, maybe his price is better, what ever the case may be, ANY parts guy worth a damn should be able to get the correct #'s. If I had known about what a positive change raked trees would make I'd have done this years ago...my .02
