Hi, I have done this one for my son, we drove it both without any meaningful trouble....not exactly the same bike, but I can say that small setup are great fun!
With the car wheel, 35 kg, the box is from aluminium. Average speed 60/70 km/h, I live at 2800 m....so, quite decent! The best part is downhill, unreachable 🤣 nobody will follow you, uphill will require some patience 🙄 !
Precession (in french) +/- 350 mm
Toe: max 10mm (full loaded)
Camber ( full loaded) 1 degree out
brake: 2 pistones caliper + proportioning valve ( the original front brake is useless)
Lean out ( full loaded) with you, unscrew the 2 upper struds, testdrive until it goes straight playing with the upper clevis tight everything, ENJOY! Did not mention but the 2 lower clamps are 20 mm uniballs and upper 14 mm ( ....yes I know 😊 ....) 😎 !
Width (half rear wheel to half side wheel somewere around 56" will do) match exactly land cruiser toyota, but it may be different for you...
Side wheel bearing is from Fiat Panda or uno, wheel Fiat 13".

Very cool! 🤩 Had no idea you were into photography, let alone have books published. This book covers an area I'm keen to visit. Any idea when it will be published, and where it will be available to buy? Think I've found some of your previous books on Blurb. Wow! pretty cool, and diverse portfolio.
Side note: If you haven't already finished the tow rack, here are the mods made to mine that really helped with handling the e-Bike. Hopefully they are helpful to you.
- 4" sewer pipe cut in half and screwed to the cross bars to keep the tires from sinking down.
- 1/2" rebar (scrap laying around) formed to make a front wheel stay. Very helpful in loading to keep bike from rolling too far.
- Removed the front tire clamps, since they aren't used.

Thanks for the photo, that helps to understand what you did. Were the tires dropping down to secure them giving you a hassle when trying to remove the bike from the rack by yourself??
Venice is a photographer's Disneyworld, beautiful images everywhere to capture. It's when you go back several times that you start to see beyond the tourist spots. Which are great, but it is not the world of the Venetian people. Venetians are apart from other Italians, having their own dialect and history. Visit several of the smaller islands away from the Grand Canal to see how the people who have survived centuries of invasions by armies, pirates, politicians and tourists now live. The Vaporettos (water taxi) makes going to these other islands easy and inexpensive.
Sounds like a great place to spend an extended time. 😎
Three issues lead to using the sewer pipe.
* As you mentioned the tires were dropping down and getting wedged between the slats which made it hard to unload.
* The front tire clamps were digging into the sidewalls of the tires.
* The rear tire was sliding side to side on the pins changing the tension on the tie downs.

My schedule allows me to go pick up the new rig on Oct 10th. Will report on the finished product and mods made.
