I want to build a subframe for a 100/7 airhead.  In looking at styles I want to copy a Lowell Neff.  Does anybody know what size bar stock he used?  Or if you have one could you measure it for me.  I think the answer will be about 1 or 1 1/4” by 3/8” or 1 removed link

Thanks in advance

kelly

@brstr as it happens, I live in the part of North America where much of the popcorn is grown.  I made a comment on the “what annoyed you at work today” thread on the adv site that we thank the people who post on that thread for increasing the popcorn consumption worldwide!

Enough popcorn for now.

You mentioned bar stock.

Perhaps DOM tube is what you need?

Others may chime in here but I'm guessing inch and a quarter or inch and a half?

1/8 inch wall thickness or 1/4 inch?

tube stock is one option but the Lowell Neff style used bar stock.  Great reviews and very neat.  I’ve seen pictures but can’t tell the material size.

I’m hoping someone has one that can read a tape measure.

Okay that's a little different.

No doubt it's workable.

The old Nimbus motorcycles used flatbar for their frames successfully.

Hard to make it light though.

Back to popcorn.
