Handlebars and Extended Cables
Sven,
I haven't seen any handlebars with valves.
Enlighten me please.

Maybe he steals tubing from the trumpet factory he works at...
Anyhoo, a pipe cutter sure makes life a lott easier than a hacksaw, but we already have a couple laying around. I find it easier, too. As they say on the frozen food boxes, "A serving suggestion".
I saw a bike once with tall ape hangers on it that used what looked liek the stock cables ..ran them up to a pivot point with a short lever on it and then added cables from there up to the controls. This was for the brake and clutch only...he had a longer cable for the throttle. Interesting.
Funny you said any motorcycle shop because I went to the local Honda/Suzuki shop here which is a pretty good size dealer and talked to the service department. I was told how hard it would be to research for the longer cables and how much time it would take them to replace the handlebars and cables that I really did not trust them to touch my bike after all. I can smell this story without even trying that is why I located my shop manual out of the packing boxes, we had just moved here from Connecticut, and after reading it thought I would just handle it myself. I may not be the best wrencher but I can read. Thanks for you feedback.
Lonnie,
in the beginning of the thread there was a link to break hydraulic stuff .....
Moment is Mr. Alzheimer attacking me?
Other thread? about the parking break?
OOPS! ... I guess so.
Anyhow I refered to chips and break master cylinders are not compatible!
And they do have there valves too, which do not like saw chips at all.
Have a better day then I am haveing.
Regards
Sven
