WOW, that is one heck of a deal, or steal. $ 3,000 for the bike AND the Hannigan Astro sidecar.
And, I can see by the pictures that the front end of the Electra Glide has had the trail reduced, by way of raked triple trees.
But, more importantly, it was darn nice of the seller to show that he owns a Subaru Outback Wilderness car, in the background.

Guess I need one more post to be able to do pics. Here it is. Next post is last winter's project.
Probably not the place, since this isn't for sale. But, this is last winter's project. I drove the bike in the 3 flags for my 80th birthday.

Beautiful rig. 👍
HD should be a fun project.

HD Classic and Hannigan report. Hannigan just needs a little dusting off. It is complete and in very good shape. Harley has been "breathed on". Used to be 88cu now 95. Gear driven cams added. Needs electrical work or not. The guy I bought it from was going to remove relays and replace with a fused scheme. It has a reverse gear transmission. Has old MM EFI, which is not well thought of by Harley folks. Came with un installed John Sweet easy steer. Seat has been redone. New stock mufflers. New tires. Mostly needs clean up and dusting off. It had been sitting. It was a fun road trip to retrieve it.

Very cool! Congrats on a great buy. Will look forward to following along with the project. 👍

The biggest problem why people don't like the MM EFI they don't understand them. It may not be the best but it works very well. In all the ones I work on over the years never had a real problem with any. A lot of those bikes now have over 100k on them.
I will probably try and get the EFI working. Or, maybe it already works. Her is a pic of a valk that I removed the 6 carbs and replaced them with my own EFI with a supercharger. You can kind of see the supercharger up under the tank. So, I understand EFI. In general I probably would keep any EFI vs changing to a carb.

I have to smile when I see H-D riders talking about the FI on their bikes, because....many years before H-D ever had fuel injection, I was test riding a fuel injection system on my '89 FLHT-CU.
This was the original invention of Billy Budd, that owned a shop 7 blocks down the road on the same street as Arlen Ness, in San Leandro, California. As Arlen Ness was to customizing bikes, Billy Budd was to mechanical engineering for these bikes, so he invented the first fuel injection system for these H-D's, and installed it onto my '89 FLHT-CU, and had me ride more than 100K miles in one year, testing the system for him.
When he had it completed, he tried to sell it to H-D, but they weren't interested "yet", so Billy Budd sold his system to Accel, and they tweaked it a bit, and then THEY sold it to H-D. Of course, over the years it has been changed, tweaked, etc, into what it is today.
