Wow,  Nice presentation! Wish they had more pictures.

36???

Don't think so.

They called it an OHC engine as well.

Research needed.

When did BMW 1st make telescopic front ends?

Suss.

745 ccs in 1936?

Horrible website. Every picture has a pop up appear over it 0.31415 seconds later.

Illegitemi non carborundum est!

I didn't realize there was more than one picture.  I just liked the way it sat on the reflective concrete, with the professional studio lighting. 🤣   I have an ad blocker on firefox, and it evidently does a good job of blocking pop-ups too. 😎

I don't have any knowledge of old BMWs (I struggle to keep up with knowledge on new BMWs, lol).

Here is a web page discussing the suspension upgrade from leaf spring to telescopic on the R12:

https://www.yesterdays.nl/product/bmw-1936-r12-745cc-2cyl-sv-3209/

And a Wiki page covering the Side valve engine specs of the R12.  Dealer may have confused engine specs with an R17:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BMW_R12_and_R17

Whether any of this info is factually correct, I have no idea.   I just thought it was a pretty picture, and a big price tag. 😉

Wow ok brushed up on ancient beemers a bit.

Thought the military sidecar was a latter development?

The R7 was a beauty and a shame it never went into production.

It was the 1st? Telle fork in 33.

The r17 was ohv .

Pricey yes but if it is a true complete 1936 model it would be a rare survivor.
