Tough news, Miles.  But your wife has the one thing she needs the most, a partner who will be by her side through thick and thin.  Best of luck to you both.  

The best lesson a dog ever taught me is "live in the now".  Because none of us have any guarantee for life longer than the air currently in our lungs. 

My brother was diagnosed and finally passed years later from congestive heart failure.  Between the time he was diagnosed and the night he went to bed, and just didn't wake up the next day, he and my sister-in-law really enjoyed life.  She learned all kinds of new cooking recipes to fit his dietary needs (something she loves), he learned to slow down and enjoy the moment.  They had a fantastic time together.   His last evening they spent planning what they were going to do the next day.  He was still very much mobile and able to do things. Neither had any idea he wouldn't wake up.  Maybe that would have been the same outcome even without the CHF.   We get this moment, everything else is a gift.

I hate to use the term "good news".  But the "good news" is it's not terminal. So let's be thankful for that.

Fiona and I have you in our thoughts and prayers regularly.  Maddie says brff.

You both have my Thoughts as well. Just enjoy each day as it comes as I am sure you both do. 

Well Dang it. Seems this is the thread for it. My 80yr old mom was taken to the ER last night. Very high fever.  Incoherent speech. Dizzy. 
Turns out she has Covid coupled with pneumonia and that her lung cancer (never smoked a day in her life) has started spreading.  The woman is my hero.  Raised four of us on her own after my dad drowned when I was six. 

Oh, Tim, I am so sorry to hear that your Mom is going through this, and that you too are going through this.

Sending positive thoughts to your Mom...and her Son.

As Drew noted, I "liked" your post in honor of support.  Will keep our paws crossed for better news soon. 

And according to the doctor, the cancer has spread to her brain. And it’s affecting her speech

Damn guys,, not sure I want to read this thread any more.. Best to all of you..  Of course my racing buddy went in for Ablation Surgery this morning for his A Fib. Haven't heard how it went yet.. This will be his second time as the first one didn't fix it.. Not really a serious issue but has kept him out of the Race Car, even though he still has the fire for speed.. Fingers crossed and best wishes for him, Tim's Mom, Mile's Better half.
