After searching the site I couldn't find info regarding helmet type preferences. On a two wheeler I only ride with a full face helmet but on the sidecar rig the open face helmet is more to my liking. I guess that the sidecar stability gives me a feeling that I won't fall over as easily or quickly (yes, I know that is not always true).

What do any of you wear?

I have multiple helmets, one for everyday use, one for cold weather, and my Sunday-go-to-meeting-matching-Mamma's Helmet. All three are flip up helmets.

Headbands and bandannas so far this year.
I have a custom made leather helmet with fur lined earflaps I'll use when the weather chills.
For my trip south to LA this week I'll be in mandatory helmet states so it'll be a lightweight openfaced lid till I get back to Idaho.

I have a flip up helmet and an open face 3/4 helmet. I quit wearing the 3/4 helmet 'cause the wind noise was too much. My wife wears a 3/4 helmet, but she has a windshield on the hack, so the wind isn't an issue with her.

Take my pick dependant upon where we are heading or what mood I am in and the weather ... if I wear one at all.

I have two flip up Nolan helmets, one Nolan open face, one cheap open face for the monkey, and one Bell half helmet (CHIPS style) for warm weather.
Indiana doesn't have a helmet law but I'm used to riding with a helmet and wouldn't be without one.
A lot different than when I rode my Matchless in 1948-50 wearing a "snoopy" aviator's cap with flaps that fastened under the chin (goggles too!). Those were the days when people believed that driving was a full time job; no cell phones, reading the newspapers, fixin' their hair or drinking coffee while driving.

Amen to that!! In 1956 I was either wearing nothing on my beanie or a really cool beret.

How do you recognise a happy biker?
....
When the flies in between the teeth are smileing!

I had to lend 3 times "last auxilliary"

Riding without helmet? No thanks!

After the "sala 4." the mayor constitutional court here in Costa Rica screwed up with the helmet obligation (allthough its still worth a traffic fee) now hundreds of idiots ride without helmets.
Last week I shouted to one and he came back to offer me a fist fight.
No argument he accepted to become reasonable and use his helmet which was resting on the sissy bar.

Open helmet is nicer as soon the snow is gone. But at least an egg shell and jeans should bee used.

I have also heard that more folks die in their sleep than on motorcycles.
So...if we put these two things together we should take longer rides and sleep less to be safer.
