Doug Bingham - Sidestrider - early USCA founder - Hall of Famer -sidecar designer - racer - Griffith Park Rally - good old Doug, aka god,

He will be missed. R.I.P.
Wow, a legend passes! Rest in peace!
Goodbye old friend,
Lonnie & Judy
Rest in peace old friend, I am truly saddened by your passing. A long time friend of motorcycling and sidecars. We will all miss you.

If an when anyone gets any information as to services for Doug, could you please pass them on? Thanks in advance.
When I needed advice on how to attach my first sidecar - a Watsonian GP to my second BMW I wrote to Doug and I still have the sketches somewhere that he sent. His knowledge and skills will be greatly missed.
Doug's influence on our sport was huge.
God Bless Doug! What a Life!
Doug was the first person I contacted back in 2006 concerning "Sidecaring". Not only did he give me information I requested, he mailed me many momentous I still cherish! What a Wonderful Man! Praise be! 🙂
Doug was the first person I contacted when I became interested in sidecars. He spent over an hour to someone he'd never met giving me a very good "education" about sidecars. Rest in peace, Doug.

I still have a stack of information Doug sent me when I initially contacted him regarding sidecars. He was great to talk to! You needed to grab a cup of coffee and sit down when you called him because he would be more than happy to talk to you for as long as you wanted. All around great guy who made the sidecar community, and the world, much more interesting
This is the most current information that I have from Mike Smith re: Our recently
deceased friend, Mr. Doug Bingham.
" Doug’s remains were cremated shortly after his passing. I was informed by a family spokesperson that there would not be a memorial service. I’m very sorry to inform you of this decision, I know the many people who new Doug would have like to celebrate his passing in a more formal way. I understand it was a decision made by the family and we will honor it.
Mike Smith
Co-Chairman
Southern California Sidecar Club"
I understand that there will be Sunday obituary in the L.A Daily News - I believe this can be accessed online.
"Condolences may be sent to: Liz Gibbons, 7105 Geyser Ave., Reseda, CA 91335"
Mike also states: "Liz is looking for a stencil of a sidecar for the engraver, he needs it to transfer the image on to Doug's urn. Do you think the USCA would have something like that. I went through my file hopping to find a Bingham MK I (I had one for 17 years) but no luck."
Thanks for your time.
