@brstr One of the mechanics at the local construction co was talking about going to WA to work for one of the mines. I reminded him that it makes our desolate look positively luxuriant. Money's good and Perth is lovely, but it's days of driving from the mines to Perth!
That said, we stopped in Perth on the way from JoBerg to do a program before continuing to the "popular" side of Australia. My favorite memory was that the Cockies would roost in the two trees across the street from the home I stayed in. It was wild that the blacks and the whites chose different trees from one another. I think that some folks would want to send them all to sensitivity training for being so racist if they saw that.

There's a whole section of Perth international airport devoted to FIFO airlines.
They vary in size from a few seats up to a hundred or so..
It's a very busy part of the airport.
The plane to one of the few mines I actually worked at carries the gold to Perth in its hold.
So us shut down workers (not the regular mine shifts) might have a seat home till they decide to load a bit more gold.
Then a few of us had to wait for the next plane.

Bruce, I showed my wife the pictures of your junior assistant mechanic, and she reminded me of one we had that followed us around.
In 2001 I drove out to Clifford, Pennsylvania to look for a house for us, as she was getting a new job in Scranton, Pennsylvania.
The house I bought, out in the country, came with it's own guard animal...am adult GROUSE.
He followed me everywhere I went, and the neighbor that lived 4 acres away told me that this Grouse believes he owns this property.
I went back to Washington State to collect all our stuff, and my wife, and told her about this Grouse. Not sure she believed me.
But within 5 seconds of her opening her car door upon reaching the property, that Grouse was there to greet her, and was a member of our family for the 18 months we lived there.
His name was Peep Peep.

Seems a fairly wide variation in types.
Wagtails are consistent.
It's only very recently I could tell a couple of mine apart by looks.
And that only sometimes.
Individual behaviour is different as well.
Went to a car and bike show yesterday and had win.
Being the the only vintage amongst more modern ones helped.
