Nice I was heading in that direction with my bike but i got the sidecar instead. So you beat me to it . oh the windshield you will probably ahve better luck and a cheaper price if you go to your local glass shop for residential and commercial replacements. they may have some colored lexan or plexi in stock and can meake you one right quick
I have new OEM Velorex w/shields with the surround moulding. The tops and 562E tonneaus fit to them.

Great looking rig, congrats. I am interested to know how much lead you have from the bike rear axle to the sidecar axle? Looks like the hack is pretty far forward?

Good eye, yes the lead is almost 14" as compared to the usual 8-10". I elected to use custom mounts from DMC for the V-Star as opposed to the more common "universal mounting" kit for most Velorex sidecars. The DMC mounts are located in a fixed position with no adjustment features. I have the hack adjusted as far back as the built in adjustment on the Velorex will allow. I may look for some additional tweaking to lessen the lead as the next riding season approaches. So far I have not noticed any noticeable effects from the increased lead, but we will see how it plays out with more miles on the rig next year. What are the normal handling consequences of increased lead? On previous rigs I have been able to adjust the lead closer to the cycle axle.
A large sidecar wheel lead will cause: Excessive tire wear and tire scrubbing in right hand turns (with possible sidecar wheel hop).
On the other hand: High speed stability is enhanced and hard braking in a left turn or downhill left turn will not end up with the sidecar dipping it's nose into the ground.
Up to 20% of the bikes' wheelbase seems to work well for a compromise setting.
