Hello,

I am interested in adding sidecar to my 2005 HD ultra, classic

I live in south east Michigan, and I’m willing to travel a good distance.
I don’t know much about sidecars, i’m hoping for some recommendations on which sidecar may look and work best. and where I might be able to find one.
Thank you,

Richard.

2c tip?

Check out some complete Harley sidecar rigs.

There's some very nice ones out there.

Much cheaper and much much quicker way to hit the road on 3.

And perchance you don't like?

Move it one.

Of course you may really like the current bike.

Will be watching to see which way you go.

Get a Ural / Dnepr/ Chang Jiang sidecar, the size will suit your bike, they are the best looking and most practical of all, and there are lots around.

Here is my HD Ultra with a Liberty sidecar and my wife's HD Sportster 883 with a Dpner sidecar. I just had her triple tree replaced with a 4 degree Rake. I have not had time to pull the steering dampener off to see how well she rides without it yet.

I have a bit of a hybrid setup using my original HD sidecar frame and simply taking off the factory fiberglass tub and replacing it with a Ural tub.  It's about the easiest thing I've ever done with this rig as I just drilled a couple of extra bolt holes and this way I still have my factory disk brakes, fender, lights, wheel etc...

I've come across a few HD sidecars with damaged tubs but the frame is just fine.

Just an idea for you.

The reason I did this was the Ural tub is a great deal easier to get in/out of and personally I think it looks better than the HD tub.  Old boy down the road who's a heckuva paint guy matched it perfectly.  Bike is a 2000 Road King Police.
