NPO tonight. Fasting lipid panel to be drawn around 4am so they can get cracking at morning rounds.
BTW, this is a very good, very large teaching hospital. One of the very few they brought Ebola victims home to for treatment several years ago. All survived.

NPO means: Nothing by Mouth, which means he is to NOT eat or drink anything for the next 100 days, or until he loses 57 lbs.

Scott....look at the post above yours from Thane. I had already posted a LIKE to his post, but then you come along, and you post a LIKE to his post, but....because you are in an ice cream haze, you didn't take notice that your single click LIKE removed my LIKE.
You have got to pay attention...Man ! This is the stuff I have been making noise about...you LIKING a post can remove the LIKE of someone that came before you.
On the Planet Sidecaria, you need to do a triple click of the thumbs up LIKE icon, so that you register a LIKE, and it also keeps the user names of all those that LIKED the post before you came along, with your sticky ice cream fingers.

Update on Heat Exhausted Thane:
Approaching his 6th day in the hospital/medical center, the Shrek-like Man is still in-patient, still undergoing tests, and awaiting results of other tests.
Without beating a dead horse, this is the perfect example of just how bad things can be, and get, if riding a motorcycle or driving a sidecar rig in extreme heat.
Be Smart....stop at every Dairy Queen.

Thane, did not realize the severity of your situation. Hope heat dehytration is the extent of it.
After an earlier reading of your condition, opted to add additional gallons of water to the rig for an upcoming trip.
Now adding coconut water as well.
Listen to the doctors and heal up fast.
Does this postpone the scheduled knee surgery?
