Happy Thanksgiving to all of you in the US.

For Bruce in Western Australia...drink a skooner of Victoria Bitter

For Brian in Canoe, B.C. Canada,  drink a litre of Moosehead

For all you mates in Ireland,  drink a pint of Guinness

For Ronnie in Florida, don't eat too many Samosas

Those of us taking holidays in France,  well...we shall visit a 16th century Chateau in the Loire Valley.

I got it now, it's a Pagan thing related to the old English harvest festival.

When it doubt google it.

NO!

Thanksgiving in America originated from a 1621 harvest feast shared between the Pilgrims and the Wampanoag people, evolving into a national holiday celebrated on the fourth Thursday of November.

The harvest festival is Samhain just ask any of your neighborhood Druids.

In my 59 trips around the sun, I have found that the common theme among the people who are most pleasant to be around is an attitude of gratitude.  They may not have ideal, easy or convenient lives, but they are thankful for what they have and don’t feel the need to make a fuss about what’s wrong.

May this be true for us all this season.

That's the Canadian one, 🙂 Closer to the fall equinox.  The US one now is about Black Friday and Cyber Monday, hardly about thanks.  Maybe just jaded cause if I get another Black Friday sale Email in my inbox I just might go ballistic. lol8

And to @FlyingMonkeys, if you ever get back to this continent we have to get together for a friday again. Maybe when you're passing through to Alaska if I'm not in Quebec again

The only excursion we took was to a local holiday boutique held by a local farm outfit in their two very large equipment sheds.  Dozens of folks selling handmade, crafty and boutique items.  Hit of the day was the pen full of golden retriever pups getting socialized!

More than anything it was a chance to take the new Subie Outback for a drive on ice covered roads to see how AWD works.  I am impressed.

I also put more than 60 lbs of various food into the freezer over the weekend.  Pork, turkey and squash.  Trying to get all those vacuum bags to stay stacked is a challenge!
