Posted by: @scott-hLiving in Washington, Apple growing state of the country I would have thought you'd be an HEIC aficionado. 😉
I can't even "like" that post above, as I do not own any Apple products, never heard of HEIC before yesterday, and apples are only good for eating, not recharging or clicking on.

Looks like his tool bit could use a little sharping. I would of like to see a shoulder on it, so when you drop in from the top it would hold it in place. But that's just me.
Looks like Chuck has opened a highly classified "Skunk Works" area in his shop. Good thing you aren't leaking classified pictures... 😉
Hold my keyboard and watch this! 🙃
Okay, I begged Chuck da builda to send the pictures to me in jpeg, and now I can post them. Also, found a faster way to convert the HEIC pictures to jpeg, so....another day of solving Whirled Peas.

Aw, you don't have THAT many years on me. But hey, that was the first screenshot I ever attempted. I'm feeling all tech savvy now.
Thanks to both of you!
Update, February 9, 2026....I have officially received, and deposited, the "Deposit" from my buyer of this 2018 Africa Twin w/DCT and Ural sidecar rig, so.....we shall go forward.

More pictures from...da builda.
The first picture is of the pivot point of the swing arm for the Leading Link, the next two are of the swing arm itself.

I have it on good intel that the Master is copying, with permission of course, from the grand master himself.. I can vouch for said engineering and it should be able take a licking for sure.

Actually, Brian, whilst the "Grand Master" is Ad Donkers (I visited him at his Netherlands shop this past year), Chuck has revised a few things, and is teaching that "olde dog" a few new tricks.
The Leading Links that Ad builds for LBS in the Netherlands are great....fantastic...hard to beat. And in fact I happen to know that a 2018 BMW R1200GS, with a GSA fuel tank on it, and a LBS made Leading Link front end, is coming up for sale very quickly (yes, it is a complete sidecar rig)
However Chuck has really learned a lot on building these Leading Links for the front of Africa Twins, and whilst mine is # 3 for Chuck, the one on Chucks lift table, a job through Mike Paull, is the # 4 Leading Link front end that Chuck will be building, for a lovely lady Ellen, on her 2024 Africa Twin Adventure Sports.

These pics are great. You put me in a rabbit hole the other day learning about Hossack suspensions. Today looking at the LBS site to learn more. Biting my tongue on technical questions though. Thanks.

Chris, believe me when I say, you are miles ahead of many of the fabricators I have seen. And, if you are ever in the Eugene, Oregon area, which is 463 miles from your front door to Chucks' front door (yes, I mapped it out), then Chuck would love to get a visit from you, and spend some time talking to you about what he does. Let me know in advance, and I will be there to buy lunch for all of us...as I am only 222 miles north of Chuck.
As for the Honda use of the Hossack front forks for their 2018+ Goldwings, here is an example of the stock width front end (silver) vs the WIDE front end like on my Wing (black)
The OEM stock width on the Wings has a 130mm wide front tire, but mine has the WIDE front end, with a 180mm wide front tire.
