Drone, All the 80's Shadows have the same rim . The one in the pic is a vt700c, got the tire online Nexen brand with a M&S rating.

I'v had a 165/80R 15 on my 85 Honda Shadow (3.5") rim for two years with no problem. Plan to move it to my 84 Virago 1000 with the hack this spring.

trikebldr, If you are asking about mine it's a 80 Velorex 562E with a Yamaha RD400 wheel and up graded axle.

I have a 1985 shadow 700cc with a Velorex 562E. Love it, I never use high (6th) and quite often run in 4th @ 50-55.
